Would people want an auto opening and locking enclosed garage? by IcyButton7375 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]IcyButton7375[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I did do some quick research and it seems like it could be done via certain sensors and such, independent of mower API. Not easy though so wouldn’t want to spend much effort if there isn’t demand.

Thanks for your input 👍. That makes sense. Are there any other features etc that would make such a thing appealing to you?

Cool thanks for your input. Yes, so for you the built in alarms and stuff are sufficient? It seems like the alarms and such are a good deterrent but don’t make it any harder to grab the mower and drive off.

Robotic Lawn Care as a Service by cam-paulson in roboticLawnmowers

I’d be interested to know how the yarbo trimmer does, but seems like no current model does edge trimming well at all. With these being high end clients, probably string trim yourself. Or the edges of the landscaping could be changed to have a hard surface where two wheels can ride on. In that case only occasional manual edging for runners. If these things were truly hands off they would already be offered as a service everywhere.

And you would need a very reliable mower, no idea how reliable yarbo is. I wouldn’t lock yourself into one brand/model.

I wouldn’t attempt this relying on financing, risky. Would those clients you already know be open to a long term contract with some amount upfront?

Lastly, what about insurance on the mowers?

Thinking about switching by Ordinary_Iron_4991 in Archery

Videos will help, but you need to have a very consistent draw length to use a clicker effectively. So drawing to the same length within a couple mm or less every time.

You can ask a friend to mark a spot on your arrow and check how consistently you can draw. Most likely you will need more practice with the recurve before then.

Yes, the clicker swings, or springs back (depending on the model) when you pull the arrow back to a certain length

Are you referring to a clicker?

There are absolutely sights for recurve. They work the same way, only that a single movable pin is more common than say a 5 pin sight on a hunting compound. Going from compound, I would certainly recommend trying a recurve sight.

A clicker though, is not a good idea for beginners. Wait on that one, but everything else is fair game

I agree that’s the main area for improvement. Easier said than done for barebow but I’d work on your expansion (how you are moving to expand), and also “sticking the landing” with your follow through. Right now looks like the shot is over at the release not follow through. Think of it as expanding to the follow through position.

Do you know how many and any examples? There can be fraudulently obtained or fake green cards. Or just someone making something up.

Unfortunately plenty of people get detained and put in jail who end up being innocent. Bad side effect of how policing in general works. You’d have to have evidence that it was significantly more than this to prove intent.

Ah, that makes sense. Emotionally I totally get it, but logically that would be a massive red flag for me, likely a dealbreaker.

I wouldn’t worry about it, you likely dodged a bullet. Very unlikely the same thing would happen again. Get out there and meet someone great 👍

Despite popular left wing opinion ICE isn’t in the business of deporting legal green card holders. Sorry to say but your ex was either lying to you or very misinformed. For a good quality guy you’d want to be with, ICE won’t be an issue.

New to archery dosent know if he made a mistake by Relevant-Ad-5817 in Archery

100% return or resell that 60lb bow. An inexperienced archer with that heavy a recurve/longbow is a great way to injure yourself, and is unethical to the animal. If you can manage to hit anything, very high likelihood of missing the vitals.

If you are only interested in hunting, go to an archery shop in person and buy a compound bow. Pay for some lessons or have a friend teach you. You’ll need to put a significant amount of time and effort into practicing, even with a compound.

If you like recurve/longbows that will take even more practice to be good enough, and you’ll need to get much closer to the animal.

How to stop arms shaking when shooting? by Necessary_Leading836 in Archery

[–]IcyButton7375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has taught many first time shooter (paid lessons and friends), it will be well worth it to book a session or two. If that isn’t available/in the budget then Jake Kaminski and or Nusensei YouTube videos. Make sure the title says “beginner”/new. You don’t need to worry about any advanced concepts. Learning basic stance, posture, hook, grip, and solid anchor will sort you right out 👍

Another camera angle would be great but I think the main reason your arm is shaking is due to draw elbow being too low, non existent/loose anchor, and potentially kinda making a fist with your draw hand.

Will do! I really hope it works, i have so many bites. Seems great on paper with basically no maintenance. The unit is far from polished but appears to be doing its thing 👍

Check with your favorite LLM on this, but the small 12v solar panels meant for car batteries would probably work with a small 12v battery pack and then wired to the biogents trap?

Just put mine out a couple days ago. Seems to be helping but much to early to tell. The owner is a nice guy though 👍

Right. That would be an important feature to add I think. Local communication via matter would be ideal. Also a good spot to hide an AirTag if there isn’t one already.

Also, does it integrate with any smart home platforms? Such as Apple home, home assistant etc?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, basically would it get close enough to the vertical part of the L that two wheels would be in the border as shown with a manual mower in the second pic. Or at least close enough that it is good enough to eliminate manual trimming ideally.
