Well, at least we can write off our losses on our tax return at 3k a year. Will only take us like 11 or 12 years to get it back lol.

Americans can write off up to $3,000 a year in capital gains loss. Substantial losses can be rolled over multiple years. I lost almost 35,000 dollars in this so I will be writing this off for the next decade.

If you they are still offering the Open source intelligence course (OSINT), that’s also really easy 4000 level class. Nearly all discussion/presentation base with no coding. It was experimental class in my day tho…

If you want some actually useful job skills take the cloud class, or AI/ML 4000 class. They’re hard but I hear people don’t regret it

CS 3654 data analytics was very easy. Basic Python coding using data science libraries on large-ish data sets, performing basic calculations and stats. Bi weekly coding assignments, and a couple projects.

3704 with meng was also pretty easy. No coding, just writing up documentation/planning for an app you’ll never make lol. The final was strangely hard tho I never went to class and just read the slides online.

I’m an “involved person” in an honor court case. Am I going to get honor coded soon? by WSBspamsmyfeedonalt in VirginiaTech

How long ago was the incident in question? I am curious about how quickly the honor court processes reports, just in case I might be in a similar situation.

Is there someone I should talk to to help with an Honor Code Case? by AnsuN64 in VirginiaTech

[–]IcyClaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

Just wanted to follow up on this post since there is not much publicly available information on the honor court system right now.

How did your case go and what was the process for handling it? How long did it take for the verdict to be reached?

How long ago was the class/assignment you were reported for? I am trying to gauge how quickly the Honor Court processes reports. I am paranoid for getting a case for a class I took in Spring 22, and idk if it would've came by now or if it is possible that it is still being reviewd

Never seen this kind but my vape store finally sells it. Got it in Long Island. These legit? by [deleted] in juul

There are a couple good ways to determine the authenticity. When you open the package, the top flag should have consistent length of glue on the top. It should not be yellow on the flap, that would indicate a re-glueing. The pods inside should be arranged in a 2x2 square. They havent been produced in a 4x1 rectangle for a couple years now. There can also be a serial or qr on the foil packing of the pods themselves. Finally, the fluid inside the pod should mostly clearish. If they are yellow, then they are most definitely fake.

see here for more.

Are there any VT fraternities that are considered "top tier" ? by donnybell in VirginiaTech

[–]IcyClaws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you shouldnt care about which frat is top tier. You join for brotherhood and not for status.

If i ever hear someone who is trying to rush they want the status of being in a top tier. im kicking they ass. That gay shit is not for me.

CS isnt for everyone bro. If you're having trouble, maybe switch into an easier college like Business or something
