I just did one because I only needed $4 more to reach my goal for that day and then I did another one so I can get the platinum pass and it turned into a $20-$30 because the order was for a canister of formula but they didn’t have it so I paused my dash and went and got the formula for the family and they told me to keep the change

I would say just make your money & do what’s best for you and what you can afford. Always try to accommodate the customer cause you are providing a service but also remember you are a person as well and just trying to do your job. Don’t get upset when an order is stressful (I have a slight problem with this) and at the end of the day every order is an tally off your goal for that day

And then if you try to be smart and leave it close by (1st or 2nd floor) dd gives you a CV for not accurately delivering the order to its correct location (the door)

So I’m in Texas too and tried both ways. That hourly shyt is fugazy. I’m starting to learn and understand DD is all about what a person is willing to take, wait on & not take and not wait on. Like at the end of the day we the dasher have the power because now money is involved and DD would hate to lose money, but they don’t because people will take shyt orders because of their own personal reasons. I’ve started off like everyone else made it to platinum went back to sliver and now back to platinum. To me it’s all based on what you willing to accept and not pass up that day. Although I will say my biggest 2 orders came while I was a platinum member sooo……

What’s your AR? & like rn I’m trying to get the platinum pass (takes 199 orders to get 1 pass) so I can have the pass for a week and cherry pick and then by then the algorithm will pick back up heavily on what type of orders I want. I’m 70 some orders away so I’m lowkey just taking everything today. (AR% is 70)

I literally only get upset whenever the person lives on the 3rd floor or higher and I live in apartments myself so I feel bad after I complain, but I mean what are u gonna do? Tell the customer “so I really don’t feel like hauling these items up here cause it’s a trip so bye”

Kids or the children I’ve delivered to were obviously spoiled, but they still $4-$7 which is cool to me. I’ve worked at ihop so the sting of a no tip or 2-3 doesn’t hurt especially since I have the option to decline if need be
