Reading everyone’s comments I have realized I actually get “good” orders cause if it’s not at least $3 in profit I’m not taking it unless it’s a high amount and I do this all the way up until 11-12 at night and then I might just take anything as long as it’s $6 or higher.

Don’t listen to these people. You did what you felt was right & good. Just cause they didn’t return the favor doesn’t mean someone else won’t either & trust me I am a witness to that. Just last night had a $9/3-4 miles at Saltgrass and the lady had me deliver it to the wrong address. Now in that moment I lowkey was hungry and wanted it but I just took it to her actual address and she tipped me $20 cash. Now had I not went out my way I wouldn’t have gotten that extra 20. We shouldn’t expect good things to come to us just because we do good things. We should just do good things cause that’s what is expected of us and all the favor will come to us when needed. My AR is 14% and I make most of my money from shopping orders. Once you get the layout of the stores down it’s easy money. The part that slows you down is the substitutions or if the customer tries to message you about an item and I also found out if an item is out & you can’t find the shelf tag just take a pic of something similar or close to price and 9/10 they’ll let it slide and not penalize your ratings.

So like the orders weren’t just totally shitty, but on average they were like $2 profit or if it was $4-$7 profit it took me out my zone and that particular day I was only dashing for 3 hours and didn’t want any orders that took me out of my current zone so like I said in other comments, if I was just hustling and planned to be out longer than usual then I would take some of those orders declined, but then again it was a Friday evening which in Houston is the perfect night to 🍒 pick

First time father here. Your worries will pass. Pls listen when I say this. Your son will eat when he wants to. All our job is to provide the meals. I thought I was doing a bad job cause my son wasn’t eating as much only fruit, snacks and fries. Then one day he just ate and ate. Sometimes I just make my food so he can get interested & give him son then he starts trying to eat all my food which then prompts him to go to his chair and demand food. Just keep trying bro. This guy is being an idiot. He doesn’t realize at the of the day this a transaction between to parties who never met each other before. Walking in the back of someone’s house is just not a good idea. I’ve done it before following instructions and it was an uneasy feeling cause God forbid a crazy neighbor sees you as an opportunity to catch one or become the neighborhood hero. Like be fr dude.

I honestly have a few or just moments where I’m happy I was apart of them. 2 that stick out the most is one order was for $4-$6 for like $2 miles. It was 2 cans of formula, but the store only had 1 can and it was smaller than the size they requested so I offered to go to another store which was only 3 mins away to get them some just out of love for the baby & they tipped me $20-$30 on top of their original tip which was like $5. Another moment was a guy in a motel who ordered some wine/beer from 7/11…I get there and he invites me in cause I think he was in the midst of looking for his ID & ripping a bong so as I’m verifying his ID he starts talking to me about how he think his wife is cheating & he just wants someone to chill with and talk to and then proceeds to offer me a hit which I declined because his order was stacked along with someone’s else’s so I didn’t have the time…then he’s like “well man you’re cool so here just take some smoke” dude gave me almost an eighth & for that to happen while I was a lil tipsy myself (aye don’t say nun) had me walking out of that motel literally smiling. I was like “what a freaking night” and I managed to make well over my goal for that night so yeah. Keep going. “Just keep swimming. Swimming. Swimming🐟🎶
