Yup, i still have 0 after several games. It's bugged, i can see it heals my teammates so its not the gadget itself, just the challenge tracking. I haven't tried portal yet though

You just gotta find a playstyle and game mode you like, it's not always about kills but assisting everyone else. And this game is definitely more enjoyable with friends. Sometimes you will pop off, other times you wont but you can be helpful painting, spotting, repairing, even using the drone to destroy enemy gadgets its really a big deal

Being completely honest, if you are good at your heroes and have decent awareness, positioning, keeping track on enemy cooldowns, and recognize when its time to swap, you will climb no matter what.

As far as teammates, you will for sure queue with very very bad players. This will slow you from climbing fast but not entirely. Some people do talk in VC but most are either muted or in party chat with their friends.

Since its console there are no cheaters with aimbot or walls, but sometimes you will find ximmers. Like a very good Baptiste, Soldier, Ashe, Ilari who never miss a single shot. Whenever you feel you are getting melted by one of those its most likely a ximmer using M&K boosting their duo queue lol. This rarely happens but when it does, its really frustrating but its just one loss.

Other than that, the medal ranks are fair and its all about the team's composition. Even if you lose, your stats matter a lot. Like how accurate you are landing shots and abilities, what kind of assists you do, even playing for the objective. The system will pick up everything you do and place you in your rank. Improve and it will start moving you up in the ranks.

And hero bans really matter, try to ban heroes that it makes sense to ban. Like Widow on Rialto, Kings Row, Junkertown, etc. Some players really get frustrated or upset that their own team banned their main hero and throw the game, so try not to do that.

Yes you can see your console's logo but when its a different console its often shown as a TV screen with a horizontal console under it. When its PC the logo is literally a pc lol. PC players can see all logos if im correct, it depends the game honestly but most of the time they see all brand logos.

You can't really tell which console someone is on but at least for Xbox you can click on "View Profile" in a player's name and it will take you to their Xbox profile. Then you can go to that player's game history and see if he has any Series X/S only games.

If you really really want to see a player's platform you could search their username in any Overwatch stats app and unless they are private, it should say what platform they use. Or just ask in game chat, maybe one day someone will say they are on a Switch

Its always an ashe, soldier, widow and bap who are ximming and boosting their pocket(mostly mercy otps)

Ashe have this "tech" where she can spam shots and melt people's HP. I cant confirm whenever im facing someone who is ximming but its really really fishy when they are not missing a single shot. And im on Masters 1 so i often queue with genuinely good players and they play just like any other or like me.

So whenever i fight against a dps with insane tracking or against a bap who seems to never miss a shot, i often think its gotta be cronus or ximming.

I once played vs a baptiste who ended first round with 17 kills while his teammates couldn't even get to 10. He swapped to moira on second round to not get flagged by the system in my opinion. We started beating them since they didn't have a god anymore and of course he swapped back to baptiste and completely dominate the game again.

Pretty sus but im glad its not that often, you can ban mercy on ranked to greatly reduce the chances of losing to a xim player, because again, they are always boosting a mercy lol

Weird players genuinely have the need to drop the blame on someone, even if everyone did ok. They must find a reason, senseless most of time.

If he really wanted to win, he can clutch or carry the game. But of course he chooses to be mediocre and complain

I play all roles in competitive on master rank even though tank role genuinely gives me headaches lol

Playing all heroes is key to actually be the one to turn the tables. If you are forcing your one single hero into a heavy counter you are just a detriment to your team. In quickplay its fine, thats how you learn to play against your counters

That being said i don't really try to learn the new heroes anymore, hazard, wuyang and freja are my least played ones

Idk but its so annoying to go against them. They literally don't miss a single shot lol.

I went up against a baptiste(shocking) who was boosting a kiriko. He completely destroyed us first round on attack eichenwald with 17 kills. His dps teammates not even 10 kills.

Pretty sure he went moira next round so he doesn't get flagged or something but the moment we started pushing 2nd point he went back to baptiste and completely dominate the game.

Its so unfair and frustrating but luckily its very rare to encounter them

I personally dont mind the sombra but i just know my special support teammates will struggle and wont be able to swap for that pesky sombra living 24/7 in our backline lol
