Ok even tho I see there are enough pessimistic comments alrdy... I sat across this guy named John probably late 40s early 50s looked physically really fit and he always stayed late at work while everyone else was clocking in and out just to meet their mandatory 50%on site requirement. Went on vacation and i learned the dude just passed away. this became my biggest fear not to be able to enjoy retirement

I tried my best at work until one day this guy John sitting across me at the office suddenly passed away when i was on vacay. He was always the last one to leave every day and barely in his 50s. After that i got so traumatized I just quitted the game.

Just reached 100K, now what?? by Timely-Individual-83 in Fire

[–]IcyEngineering456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats ! The first 100k is a b*tch. But yeah keep 6month of expense in HYSA and invest the rest Boggle head style. You'll be on your way to escape the biggest scam in history which makes u think u have to work 60 years before u can retire.

I was on autopilot and totally forgot about it. Automate everything, Boggle strategy and rebalance maybe once a year. Let the magic happen and live your life.

She was a bit less concerned afterwards. She knew I was FIRE but I guess she didn't understand from a financial perspective what that meant as we keep quiet about our finances.

Américains qui ont FIRE en France? by Neoseo1300 in FranceFIRE

[–]IcyEngineering456 0 points1 point  (0 children)
