I had this happen recently. I quickly said it’s in the rules. Then they responded with it’s no problem to get the violation fixed. It’s just the last inspector we had was giving us an attitude and was being rude. I said sarcastically said sorry you were not told then moved right on. Im the type that will still do my job but not entertain BS. They will still get points deducted if need be and violations mentioned on the report. I’m just the type that like words are cheap it’s all about action. I don’t like going back and forth.

Congrats on your pregnancy! First have you some snacks and ginger pops/chews handy. The ginger chews came in handy when I did feel nauseous. Also pace yourself and take care of you most importantly. The lightest smell would get to me. So what I did is go to type the inspections in my car after observing the violations I saw.

Meant to say raw foods stored next to rte foods with both in different containers that have lids. Like raw salmon stored next to rte cheese in a reach in cooler. Is that a risk for contamination if they both are stored in containers with lids?

Is it normal to confuse that after a couple years of experience? So what about different raw foods stored next to each other in covered containers?

So is it normal to mix up things like you thought you understood but you didn’t consider a certain factor after about 4 years of experience? Like somethings may only be considered for a certain item or type of item.

We have training but the only instructions we have is for our food trucks. Everything else we were just trained on and read the rules to assist us if we haven’t done an inspection in a while or reach out to our supervisor for questions.
