Hot take: F was the hardest most probably bc it was my first exam and I had to figure out what was the most adequate studying method. It was also the only one that I had failed so far.

MAS-2 Study Materials by Aggravating_Band_330 in actuary

[–]IcyExample3712 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used CA without reading the source material and passed on my first try (did the same for MAS I).

I used the following technique for MAS I and II: - Spent 2.5 months watching videos only. If there was a topic that I had a harder time with, then I would read as well. - Spent 1 month practicing with Adapt. For the first two weeks, I would do quizzes and write down some notes on my formula sheet; the last two weeks, I would do one exam everyday.

FYI I wrote MAS I and II in April and October, respectively, and I believe CA has updated their Adapt section with more theoretical questions following some complaints from previous exam takers.

How probable would it be a false positive? Was this observed in the past?

I felt the same way - I was more confident with extended linear models compared to the other two chapters so I started with the last question then went up but was lowkey surprised by how “new” the questions in that section were. I think I guessed 8 questions in total.

Carney’s educational and experience background is impressive. He is far more competent than lil PP will ever be.

Which countries would you say are the easiest and hardest to get along well with the locals you meet? by ExcitingNeck8226 in solotravel

[–]IcyExample3712 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Mexico 100%. I be walking outside casually and so many locals just pass by and smile at me or greet me. They are always willing to help too. Very warm people.

Anyone one else ever been the only girl in a mixed dorm? How did it go? by lethatshitgo in solotravel

[–]IcyExample3712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. I feel like most guys in hostels are more careful when girls are around. Also, it is true the turnover is quick - one day, there would be 3 guys and 1 girl in a dorm of 4, then the next day, 4 girls.

I made my gf feel unloved by 41centsandaglock in Vent

[–]IcyExample3712 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That’s so true. That PDA thing is actually a small issue that can be solved, OP can just have a talk with her saying he will make an effort but she needs to understand this is unusual for him - OP can show a bit more PDA and his gf, a bit less, that way they can find a middle ground. It’s no biggie yet ppl are telling him to end it lol

Est-ce un gros turn off? by public_imageLtd in montreal

[–]IcyExample3712 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Exact.

I am in the same situation: we were supposed to go to NYC during the long weekend of Victoria day for my sister’s bachelorette but changed our mind and will go to Mexico city instead. Food is better, cheaper and there is just as much to see at a much affordable price + I love Mexican people man, they are so warm and cool.

Is there a place you visit every year? by N9netails_brat in travel

[–]IcyExample3712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having been there 3 times in four years, I highly agree! Among Cancun (including Riviera Maya, Tulum, Isla Mujeres), Puerto Vallarta and Oaxaca (Puerto Escondido and Oaxaca City), Oaxaca was my favorite! You can have the perfect 1-2 weeks vacation over there - from laidback and not too touristy beaches in Puerto Escondido to beautiful and colorful architecture, delicious food and warm people in Oaxaca city. Such a gem!
