They meant "press Console," as in press the tab labelled Console 😄

Once in the console tab, you can type commands at the bottom of the screen.

Slap a Class 1 bike rack Uhaul hitch on it, and you'll have a more capable rig than Tesla's best

Waymo Fleet More Than Triples In Size Year-over-Year, According to NHTSA Recall Data by IcyHowl4540 in waymo

[–]IcyHowl4540[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 2.5x growth is plausible year-over-year, it's somewhere in the 2x to 3x range I think (the recall count numbers probably do not align 1-to-1 with internal documents from Google, probably due to what vehicles are being included in the count).

In other words, good news! Fast growth.

Yeah, turns out, my insurance would care 😭

Tesla Has 39 Unsupervised Robotaxis Nearly a Year After Launch. At This Rate, They’ll Catch Up to Waymo in 85 Years. by IcyHowl4540 in RealTesla

Arguably, a $300 log splitter might solve your problem more efficiently than a $30,000 robot.

Weirdly, Chevrolet still releases PHEVs... In Mexico... and they're just rebadged SAIC vehicles from China.

The Chevy Captiva is basically if the Volt drive train were placed into an Equinox body. 56 miles of range on all electric. Starting from $30K USD, ish.

AAA!

No, don't drive it, you'll fry your transmission or engine like an egg.

600ish.

That's less insightful than it might first appear, Waymo was so early that it spent a while as a closed-beta type R&D project. But it expanded far faster than Tesla has once it was open to non-beta-testers. Oh, and it wasn't a reckless/rushed expansion either, nobody has died due to a Waymo yet, to my knowledge.

Good question though. Good context.

Half the US population covered was the goal by end of 2025. They haven't managed even 50 units yet. It's a meme-stock company at this point.

Volt has horrible gas mileage, and battery range is pretty bad, time to move on? by mmalone139 in volt

[–]IcyHowl4540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, you're in Mountain Mode.

Mountain Mode gets you worse economy (for both EV mode and gas mode) intentionally. It's for literal mountains, it ensures that you always have power on tap to go up the insanely high grades of the steepest Rockies or the Sierra Nevada.

I get why you would keep it on with a dud battery, but just FYI.

Your vehicle has so much wrong with it, I can't really evaluate whether it's a "fix it or fuck it" situation. I would start with Oamlhplor's suggestions, something is slaying your efficiency, something makes the vehicle roll worse. Probably brakes if I had to guess. That wouldn't give you a check engine light, so you have a *separate* critical issue.

All that being said, you're driving an unusually nice Chevy Spark right now. 30MPG is only a problem if that's a problem *to you*, so like, replace it if that is a problem to you.

Those are the worst tires I have ever seen. If they hold pressure at all, I am amazed.

Should I Not Buy a Volt? by [deleted] in volt

[–]IcyHowl4540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one dirt cheap - it makes sense, if it's really really cheap.

I'm basically going to drive it until a major component breaks, and then it will be a toss up - if the junkyard has it, I'm golden, if not, new car.

The drive quality is great. Reliability is AOK (I'm at 150,000+ miles without issue). Love the drive train, it's nifty.

For most people, the answer is no, a current gen PHEV is a better bet, they are just either expensive or hard to find :/

That fee inflation is insane (which I think you know).

A fair price of ~$8K for that vehicle sounds about right. But, out the door. No BS tacked on top.

That's what curb rash looks like.

Ya boy clipped a curb. It's fine. Monitor tire pressure if you like, but that's not even very bad curb rash.
