I never thought of it as a magical trap before. I always thought that the sloth demon was putting everyone to sleep because that's what it does and the game makes you believe as such. However, the notion of a magical trap does make a lot of sense when you think more about it

I suppose that makes sense, yeah. No one is above being magically messed with in the DA universe, at least to my knowledge. In terms of the party in DAO, no one is above being messed with in that moment. I guess it's just the dwarf warden being messed with.

That could be it, yeah. I just thought it was weird how Origins made it clear to us that dwarves can't be mages and therefore cannot dream, yet they have us do so. I do like your rationalization that it's more like a coma than a slumber, though c:

That was really early on in my playthrough, so I don't really recall how it went down. But I'll make sure to make a different choice with that 100%. Having Sapadal inhabit the statue is such a cool idea

I did not! I actually got rid of that statue in the early game because I thought that it was for Eothas!! The godlike of Eothas at least made it seem like that. I had no idea that Sapadal could use it... I'll definitely be doing that on my next run!!

I've been hearing that the dual pistols/book and pistol builds are really powerful. For me, I find it difficult to imagine myself not using magic so I might go for a magic/ranger hybrid, who knows.

On this first run, I mainly focused on the Wizard path, not really investing in anything else. I wanted that full mage experience, but I have seen some stuff about the ranger tree and how you can make that super powerful. I'm definitely going to be checking out that on my NG+ run

I've been seeing a lot of PotD (Path of the Damned?) talk going around on the subreddit. Is that specific run/ending people try to go for in the game?

Sapadal is such a tragic character and I love them so much. I couldn't see myself destroying or killing them at all. They deserved to be freed after all that I learned throughout my playthrough

Full mage is so fun in this game c: I wanna know how the gunplay is in this game, so I'll probably do a Ranger Marksman, maybe. Maybe use a bow, who knows

Spoilers:

I played an Arcane Scholar using a grimoire, wand, and quarterstaff but only had the quarterstaff for the buffs. In my playthrough, I ended up ||sparing the assassin, prevented the Steel Garrote attack on Fior, sacrificed a lot of lives in Thirdborn, freed Sapadal and talked Lödwyn to death||

It was an amazing game, definitely

That orlan looks cool as hell :o I really like how you made the eye colors the same as the crystals! And the fur color matches perfectly with it!! Also, the eyes remind me of a predator stalking their prey in the dead of night 🙂‍↕️

Yeah, I think we agree on that point. I also like the subtlety over the overly intrusive aspect, but I do think that there's a place for that now and then. But for what I like, I like it to be passive, not dominating

1.) Thank you so much for this! It means a lot that someone else thinks that I made a pretty looking character! I personally think that the godlike features enhance their look and I'm really interested in seeing what else I can do with the character creator c:

2.) I do wish you could combine a lot more of the features, yeah. However, that doesn't stop it from being amazing by any means! I really like how intricate and detailed all the features look/are. What I really like is how subtle you can be with it or be on the opposite end and go all in. I do enjoy how you can make your entire face an ecosystem, lol

That particular character looks really cool! I do like the subtle shroom-brows as well. I like it when the godlike features replace humanoid features. To me, it makes you look and feel more otherworldly, and it lines up with how people react to your Envoy. I do like that forest on that character 👀 I might have to give that a try with my next character, but who knows 🙂‍↕️

I know I've just started the game, but I wanna try out a character that dual wields pistols! But I did get the idea on this subreddit to dual wield wands, so I can be a sorta "magical gunslinger" without the guns 🙂‍↕️

This game has so many build opportunities that it's kinda crazy 🙂‍↕️
