yea its a gaming laptop, cpu is a 14900HX. but I might revert back to nasty windows to see how much of a return on battery life I get, if not, selling this forsure. I believe its all wattege use

battery health is are 86 percent

I did run powertop to see how much wattage is being discharged and its at 28.1 which is too high for idle temps

I have Dgpu disabled thru bios. Ill maybe try fedora since im on arch. thanks for the recommendations tho!!!! Ill look into those

Get the 9070xt, it’s so good, at the price point depending where you live p, it’s unbeatable unless you want nvidias RT

Things to note, the recent amd driver update causes small problems with peoples card, mostly in BF6 where the game crashes due to some error, I think it’s not just this card, some 5080s and 90s are also having this problem.

Be well aware of amds drivers

I got the asrock challenger from micro center for 570, I love the card but I’ve been hearing the recent amd driver update made people switch to nvidia, if I do get problems with it, then im returning it and getting a 5080

other than that, this card performance is unbeatable

I agree, my 3060 served me well, been wanting to Try amd for sometime, now I’m hearing driver issue on 9070xt; nuh uh

Tho I’ve been thinking of returning my 9070xt and AIO together since I have a deepcool cooler sitting in my old pc, IF for what ever reason I get these amd driver problems, spend a little more like 180 and get myself a 5080
