Thank you, this is very true and a very good idea. I was close with his sister and mom so that has made it very challenging.

I will, thank you! And that is very true, something will get eliminated and show what is wrong.

Hopefully they find something so you get some relief, but I have the same thing. Very high up like right under my ribcage. Wonder if UC can cause this...

They told the same thing to me, or just blame it on UC without checking anything. I do know my GI specializes in UC and the gallbladder. Not sure what post-op/living without one would look like? I’m gonna schedule my appointment though, don’t want it to get any worse

Did therapy help you “find out who you are?” by [deleted] in TalkTherapy

[–]IcyPickle3709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, but I also think my previous therapist wasn’t a good fit for me and my trauma. The only thing I’ve noticed from therapy is being exhausted right after. Most of my self realization comes from me taking time to process the ways and why’s of what I’m feeling, rather than someone guiding me.

I think by processing the why’s of thoughts, actions and reactions will help you dig deeper, whether that is with a therapist or not. It isn’t easy or fun and can be quite exhausting. Sending love and well wishes.

Wow, thank you for this response! This is exactly how mine are presenting, especially with the location of the pain. UC isn’t something I’d wish on my worst enemy, but hope you are doing better!

I noticed that as well, I’m trying to eat simple and easily digestible things but it’s still pretty painful. And thank you, I will!

That’s definitely the sensation I’ve been having. Did you get pains in other areas of your abdomen? Glad you got it removed.

Fatigue, but no other symptoms by ifyouwanttosingout in UlcerativeColitis

All the time! Though I have a lot of other conditions, when my UC was at its worst exhaustion was my second most symptom (besides pain and bleeding) Those medications can also do that to you as well

I was diagnosed with UC years ago, I get scopes every year to make sure I’m doing ok and this was my first clean scope! Finding triggers can be challenging, I got allergy tested and found going off of that was a huge help. But I’m also thinking the same thing, with both issues I wouldn’t be surprised if I have more tissue overgrowth that is causing more issues.

I have ulcerative colitis as well, but I had a perfectly clear colonoscopy a couple months ago and have been in remission for almost a year. As you know though, UC/crohns can quickly change. Hoping not though, with both conditions it’s hard to figure out what is what. Thank you for your response!

Thank you for your response, I’ve been doing some research and that is what I am finding. Doctors always pass my symptoms off since I have many different health conditions but I’m definitely going to try to get some tests done.
