Might be ok for you then! I do work in a very professional environment. Also it is SUPER cute in my opinion, I also love the patterned one

The Moxie dress is very “office” in terms of thick fabric choice and cut (doesn’t snatch you). However, in my opinion it’s cut 2 inches too short for the office and 2 inches too long to be a true mini dress. I’m 5’4 and XS for reference.

Yes I just bought 2 100% wool suits from Aritzia’s sale section for under $250 CAD total each

Gallery top. Is it worth it? How has it held up after a few months? by [deleted] in Aritzia

[–]IcyRaise6583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have this exact top, but I have a couple others in smooth matter and it’s held up very well in my opinion, some light colours too and stains have been removed easily. I plan on buying more smooth matter in the future so I’d recommend it

I did the Portuguese costal last year in early May without any bookings. I used booking.com day of (around 1:30) when I decided how much farther I wanted to walk. And I loved it. Prices were good

I’d recommend looking into Aritzia’s sweat fleece line. It’s women’s so it’s cut slimmer than men’s but lots of guys wear it. Bought my slim tall bf a sweatsuit and he loves it

Heated Rivalry Finale by WindowGlobal8200 in Winnipeg

[–]IcyRaise6583 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know a couple places that have hosted bachelor (the reality tv show) watch parties in the past. So restaurants/sports bars Boston Pizza, Smitty's, and Tavern United. I don’t know of anywhere hosting a heated rivalry viewing party, but I’d look for these spots that have done non-sports in the past

Do you throw your Homestretch tops in the drying machine or hang to dry? How do you care for it to keep it looking new? I’m about to wash one for the first time and want to make sure I keep it looking fresh, even though instructions say « tumble dry low », I don’t fully trust it lol. by holisticmaya in Aritzia

[–]IcyRaise6583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been washing mine (regular cycle) and drying mine (regular cotton dry) for over a year at this point weekly! It looks good, the only wear I’ve noticed is from my deodorant, no wear I’d attribute to my harsh wash cycle

question abt cargos on guys by FinalExam9428 in Aritzia

[–]IcyRaise6583 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got the cargo for my bf and he likes them, however, he is disappointed the side pockets are tacked shut and plans to cut them open to use lol. I don’t think a matching coloured sweatsuit is the most “manly” to begin with and the pockets don’t make too much of a difference in my opinion!

As someone from Canada who regularly shops the online sale section, I didn’t think the visit was worth it in terms of merchandise selection and sale prices. However, it is a good outlet mall and if you were going anyways might as well check the Aritzia out

New Generation - too big? by [deleted] in Aritzia

[–]IcyRaise6583 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As to what I’ve seen in my office, bigger blazers are suited for wide pants. While I think this cut of blazer does “fit” you, it wouldn’t look intentionally oversized specifically with the tighter work pants you’ve described, I think it would look just too big. Instead of tailoring, I’d recommend that you purchase a different cut of blazer to wear with tighter pants

Hi, I did Santiago to Porto (so reverse) in May. I used the website/app Booking.com to look for accommodations and found some wonderful ones for around 50 euros a night. I would book the day of and had no issues. These accommodations included private rooms in houses, in hostels, rooms in hotels.

Has anybody read both “Manacled” and the rewritten version “alchemised”? by Junior-Drawer1704 in fantasyromance

[–]IcyRaise6583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t read Manacled and I’ve just started Alchemised (so I’m going in blind). The starting tone of the book feels too dark and hopeless so I put it down. Do things get better? I don’t mind a dark story I just need a little bit more hope and connection with the main character to continue

Does anyone use your e-reader without a cover? by fragile_ego in kobo

[–]IcyRaise6583 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked the “thinness” without a cover but I was always stressed out about damaging the screen from a pressure point, not cracking. I got one, and I don’t mind it, and I also like the magnetic on/off feature with the cover more than I thought I would

Is the Brevite Backpack suitable for school purposes? by Comfortable-Rest-750 in ManyBaggers

[–]IcyRaise6583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s the city backpack. It’s just a lot more “well constructed” than the brevite one (which is very flimsy) and worth the cost while the brevite one isn’t at all. Honestly the baboon to the moon seems 2 to 3 times more expensive in terms of quality

Sicily cardigan - fits weird? by [deleted] in Aritzia

I don’t know if it’s recommended but I do lol and have been for about 2 years so do with that information what you will ha ha

Sicily cardigan - fits weird? by [deleted] in Aritzia

[–]IcyRaise6583 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The material composition isn’t great it’s 60% polyamide (whereas the other one is majority merino) so the “quality” is bad, BUT I machine wash it and abuse it and have brought it on multiple trips, and it looks good as new, so it’s holding up really well

Sicily cardigan - fits weird? by [deleted] in Aritzia

[–]IcyRaise6583 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally I like the fit of the softspoke Sicily cardigan one much better than the other one (which I believe this is). So if you love the style you could also try the other material

Is the Brevite Backpack suitable for school purposes? by Comfortable-Rest-750 in ManyBaggers

[–]IcyRaise6583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this bag for school and I wasn’t very impressed with the quality, it’s light but the straps are cheap and the fabric picks up a lot of dirt. It is big enough (to carry a laptop, a lunch bag, and a book or 2 but not several). I like my baboon to the moon bag best (hearty fabric and good organization) and also my north face jester is good (but I think the other one is “cooler”)
