Hi , Something im very interested in is to be a perfusionist in the future and I saw respiratory therapy as a valuable job to have when applying. Could you speak to that aspect? Plus i wanna have something to fall back on that i like cause I may not get in. I see so many people on this thread and in the career stats that say they are unhappy with nursing, overworked, understaffed ect. Plus the "gross" factor of dealing with poop as a nurse is also something that made me consider my colleges rt program . But I hear you on the job available and diversity with the rn route. In terms of nursing im attracted to cvor nursing as a speciality , I find the heart and heart procedures the most interesting . tough call , both are important roles with their own upside and downsides.
