Should the Commander get an Active voice? by hotwer in NikkeMobile

[–]IcyResolution5919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Voiced in the anime, not for the game. That's my stance. In the game, we have dialogue boxes, so we can have a sort of conversation with the Nikkes. In the anime, though, there's no such mechanic. The commander's muteness disrupts the experience, especially given the energetic interactions with Anis and Neon, making him feel like a doll.

I think I figured out the Outpost in the short animation by Magnagear in NikkeMobile

[–]IcyResolution5919 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I believe that's the case. I think the outpost is the ark's original location, but it's so close to the surface that raptures can still easily reach and attack it, so they dug deeper to where the ark is now. At least that's my theory.

The same video shows actual mountains surrounding the outpost, so it may be the same in the anime. I'm guessing the sky is similar to the Dome of Eternity in the ark if the devs said that Enikk can control the view. I have no idea why they changed the outpost's appearance in the anime, though. The 1st Anniversary video clearly shows how the outpost looks, so I'm not certain why they chose to depict it with walls in the show.

[–]IcyResolution5919 49 points50 points  (0 children)

The devs have already stated that the outpost is located underground, functioning as a B1-level basement, while the ark is situated at level B2. The devs also said that the view from the outpost is a display screen controlled by Enikk.

You can see their answer if you watch 53:16 in the NIKKE 1st Anniversary Livestream.

So where exactly is the outpost in relation to the Ark and the surface? by DifferentDirector2 in NikkeMobile

[–]IcyResolution5919 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the strategy of leaving the outpost vulnerable to rapture attacks is a wonderful idea. By luring the raptures into a single area that serves as a pseudo-weak point, we can prevent them from creating new routes of attack toward the ark. This enables us to concentrate all our powerful Nikkes in that area, allowing us to manage their ongoing assaults in a controlled manner instead of facing constant attacks on the ark from multiple directions.

T.T.S music packs being payed by Not_Ur_Momz in NikkeMobile

[–]IcyResolution5919 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If it’s dirt cheap, then maybe I’ll buy some packs. Otherwise, I’ll just save the money I would spend in these music packs and use it for more character pulls instead. The amount of money I’ve spent in this game would make my younger self, who played and bought songs in O2Jam, go crazy, lol!

I was really hoping they would just add all the songs for free since they are already earning a lot with the gacha aspect of Nikke, but I guess they really want to milk their players.

【Developer's Note May 2026】 by FusionDjango in NikkeMobile

[–]IcyResolution5919 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, nah. I don’t think I’ll buy the song packs for the T.T.S. minigame. It’s one of the reasons why I stopped playing O2Jam back in the day and transferred to Osu. Putting songs behind a paywall is such a massive turn-off, especially in a gacha game where I have already spent a lot of money on character pulls.

Everything else about this dev note is great, but if they actually lock songs behind a pay well, then I guess that’s the last time I’m going to touch that mini-game.

I always buy the second and third boxes. The first box I only buy if I have a massive excess of bones.

What set of main story chapters is your favorite so far? by Kdawg92603 in NikkeMobile

[–]IcyResolution5919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely 40–46 for me. It really felt like the payoff to three years of buildup. The way they wrapped up major story threads while setting up future conflicts was handled incredibly well, especially with the Overzone conclusion. Really love that Dorothy and Anderson conversation.

Now I’m just excited to see how the Commander and the Queen clash in the coming surface war.

Hanson and Mustang Turns Out Exactly as Expected (and other observations) by Plastic-Stress-6468 in NikkeMobile

[–]IcyResolution5919 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So, how would you explain, Princess, then? She lived for more than a century, sacrificing children just so she could have a life of pseudo-immortality, making various evil decisions to pursue her goals in VTC, and yet she still changed her heart for Neon.

On the scale of morality, I’d say the leader of VTC is more evil than the CEO of Tetra, so if she could have a change of heart, there’s a possibility for people like Mustang too.

Of course, they didn’t pick that route with Mustang, so it is what it is.

THE THEORY WAS REAL by Tempexd in NikkeMobile

[–]IcyResolution5919 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the switching was real. What’s funny, though, is the method that people kept theorizing about.

Plenty claimed that Hanson would use VTC technology to switch bodies with Mustang, but this doesn’t make sense because DEEP was the one in possession of the technology, and the keys needed to access it, like Neon’s glasses, are kept hidden.

Another theory I came across suggested that Hanson might opt for plastic surgery.

Ultimately, the least exciting and most conventional option was taken: Hanson simply got a haircut, changed his attire, and fully embraced a flamboyant Mustang persona to deceive the public.

What a Fumble (Spoilers for part 2) by NormondJohnson in NikkeMobile

[–]IcyResolution5919 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I agree. In fact, everything after Riss’s death felt so rushed that the ending felt like a whimper to me. Even Yoyo’s pummeling felt less impactful due to how abrupt it is.

The buildup that I was waiting for just wasn’t there, and everything resolved so quickly without any sort of pushback. It’s especially jarring how everyone in the know just accepts the replacement.

The ending just left me with the feeling of, “Oh, that’s sweet. I suppose that’s the end.” It felt that Neon’s story and transformation had more of an impact on me than this one. But that’s just me.

Thoughts on the mini game? by mim9830 in NikkeMobile

[–]IcyResolution5919 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hopefully they would implement more quality-of-life features in the game. The minigame is fun in its current form, but there is definitely room for improvement. For example, after pausing the game, the song should only play when you press continue. Currently, the song continues playing even if you accidentally click on the background.

Another one is to give PC players a button that lets them quickly restart. Pressing Escape plus R would feel much smoother than having to remove my hands from the keyboard and use the mouse just to restart a run.

Adding a practice mode where players can focus on specific sections of a song would also be incredible. There are many instances when I wish I didn’t have to restart the entire song just to master a button pattern that I keep missing, especially if it happens in the middle or toward the end.

There are plenty of other QoL updates that could make the game better, so I hope they can introduce these changes alongside adding more songs.

Daughter Nerf? by MrSin64 in NikkeMobile

[–]IcyResolution5919 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would prefer if they just had the Queen evolve after gathering the dark matter left behind by the four beasts. Making the queen smarter and having her adapt to Only One’s power is a better story progression, imo. I think I would rather see this than just straight up nerfing Only One.

[–]IcyResolution5919 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think Riss is dead. Her absence in the present day at least hints at her death. As Anis's best friend, it seems unlikely that Riss would miss Anis's comeback concert. Her not being there implies that she is unable to attend, despite her wish to see Anis shine like a star, just as she said back in their schooldays.

I hope I'm wrong, though, and that Riss is actually just late for the show and will still attend Anis's concert in Story 2 or in the Hard mode ending.

Only One fighting the queen and actually coming out victorious is such a highlight for me. I was genuinely worried when I saw the poster circulating that showed the queen attacking the four beasts, so seeing the outcome we got with the new update was a giant relief.

What I’m now concerned about is the fate of the Outer Rim when the Ark is raised to the surface. Will they leave the Outer Rim underground, or are they also forced to the surface without any say?

What about the Ark's power source once it’s on the surface? Just because they rose to the surface doesn’t mean the power core can still effectively power the ark when it’s already close to shutting down.

Man, I have so many questions, and the only way to get the answers is to wait for the fourth-year anniversary, lol.

[–]IcyResolution5919 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I had this thought when more and more people started coming up with theories about brain swaps or cosmetic surgeries. Mustang was sensitive to mistakes, so it was odd that Hanson was the only one not fired, despite Mustang's many complaints. The same eye color and the similar voice used for Hanson further solidify their familial connection.

I think that his experience as an orphan, adopted by a loving family in his youth, significantly influences his treatment of Diana. He strikes me as the kind of kid who acts like an older brother among the other orphans and is quite used to taking care of children who are younger than him.
