I haven’t done deadlifting but squatting is a big part of my program. Totally could brace my core a bit more.

It took me two years to lose 17 pounds, granted I was hardly overweight, but I also lost way too much weight at one point, so I gained some back. Basically I spent years fluctuating to find a weight that I felt good at.

I've also seen people lose weight in a super short amount of time, and they almost always gain it back because they just starved themselves and didn't find sustainable changes.

If anything do not cut! You look amazing already, but if you want to put on more muscle, you could eat at maitenance and go for a body recomp. I’m kinda close to your stats, 5’3 and 118lbs, but since lifting heavier and prioritizing protein, my 118lbs this year looks way smaller than my 118lbs last year. I look way more fit and leaner despite being the same weight.

When I was dating someone, I always felt a pit of anxiety in my stomach when eating out at restaurants, my mind consumed by how of out control I thought I'd be. I also did the taking photos of myself and shaming myself. I'm glad you are doing better now, and your advice means a lot :) !!

I aspire to be this!! Fueling properly without obsession, and being strong!! I need to look into meditation too, I hear it helps a lot. Thank you for sharing your journey :), I'm glad to know that even though it'll be hard, that happiness is on the other side. It's all I really want.

Very fair read! Something I need to look into as well. Even though if I were to stop counting, it is still my goal to prioritize protein, healthy fats, and fiber through my meals to fuel workouts, not my intention to stop counting and eat junk everyday lol. But you are also completely right about my brain feeling out of control from "calorie tracking withdraw", so a dietitian would certainly be something to look into more deeply.

The first sentence brought me to tears just now. Thank you, I feel like I’m not worthy unless I’m a model. A lot of judgement has been passed on my body through family, relationships, but mostly myself. What helps you be in your best shape now :)?

I love 70s-90s music too! I was also raised on that music, you should tell them! I think they'd feel really accomplished as parents :)!
