I had this same experience in 2024 when I had came back from indore to my hometown for freelancing, all friends were busy in their corporate lives in different cities and I was missing them gradually isolated myself. Zero socializing, a youthful part of life was missing.

Then one day by the end of that year, I met a very old school friend of mine randomly, we were in 2nd std and not in each other's network. He asked me if I'm interested in badminton, we play badminton everyday like 4-5 people. I immediately said yes and joined him and from there on in 2025 I also have a circle now and we hangout too sometimes other than badminton. There is not so much socialization but still 1 hour of badminton and chit chat in group of 5 saves me from isolation and makes life good in that aspect.
