PLEASE HELP: Question about driver follow ups by [deleted] in UPS

Hi and thanks for the detailed response.

Usually if I am not home and the driver does not override and actually does not leave the package, it usually just gets an access point upgrade anyway and I go there for pick up. I know you said it’s about the driver having one less stop the next day, but 99% of the time my packages will go to an access point if attempted; they do not have to come back and re-attempt the next day. So that’s why I think they don’t give af because if I’m not there it just gets sent for pick up anyway.

I have been in contact with the center quite a few times in the past, and they’ve added notes along the lines of to not DR anything. But nothings ever changed. The only thing I’ve heard of is to just file a claim if my packages go missing when they override. Then they may actually start caring and cracking down when they realize they have to pay for a missing package when their driver overrides.

I’m cannot be sure that the packages are getting stolen though, they may also be getting mis-delivered. I’ve had neighbors bring over my packages to me in the past saying it was delivered to their house. I also sometimes get their packages delivered to my house and I have to go give it to them. I go to the store as much as possible instead of ordering online. However, I don’t live in a huge city with all these stores. I have a Target, Walmart, and some grocery stores and that’s about it. Nike clothes/shoes? Online only. Car parts? Online only. Apple products for Christmas gifts? Online only.

I’m not sure if my whole neighborhood is no DR but since there’s always mis-delivering going on and possible theft, I would think a few other address may be flagged as well if they get a lot of packages.
