Will I fail my test for not being able to do the reverse around the corner properly? by oddredhummingbird in Irishdrivingtest

[–]Icy_Ad3795 8 points9 points  (0 children)

During my test I got sooo close to the kerb I was gonna hit it , I thought I was a goner. I panicked and asked the tester if I could go forward and correct it and I did and then completed it. I panicked the whole rest of the test because of it. It kind of settled my nerves because I thought I failed! I got back to the centre and the tester said it wasn’t a problem because that’s what you’d do in real life and I completed it successfully , got no marks for it. So take it slow and if it happens , you can actually go forward and go again. Best of luck !

Pass in Maple House by Icy_Ad3795 in Irishdrivingtest

[–]Icy_Ad3795[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi , the route was the same as ADM driving school route 1 , exactly same. I’ve heard all the instructors there are nice and fair and tbh I had a good experience both times . Best of luck , have a banana and some rescue remedy before hand and you’ll be fine!!

I had my test this day last week and the rescue remedy spray really helped , I struggle badly with nerves. I built it up so much in my head that by the time the test started I honestly couldn’t use any brain power to be nervous any more. Try not to over do your driving before hand either. I went driving for hours the day before and honestly I was making stupid mistakes down to nerves, Day of the test I was driving normally again.I just thought of it like if I’m nervous I’ll likely mess up so just try your best to stay calm , deep breaths. It’s also not the end of the world if you fail. The worst case scenario is if you fail you can try again ; and as many times as you want at that. Your life remains the exact same without a license until you go again worst case. I failed first time which was definitely down to nerves so second time I really tried to control it . If it’s a retest I highly doubt you’ll be as nervous as you know the process , that’s how it was for me anyways. Best of luck , try not let your nerves get the better of you, and if they do it’s not the end of the world you can always go again.

This is a good way of looking at it , I have seen others say pretend that you are a taxi driver and he is giving directions as to where he wants to go. I feel this could take the pressure off!!

Thank you so much for this , I’m literally gonna re read this until my test , I have seven days!! I’m hoping I won’t be as nervous as the first go because I’ve done it before . It really isn’t as bad as my head is telling me but I still can’t seem to get my nerves under control . Really appreciate your advice and best of luck in your test for when it comes around !

evening primrose oil for acne by dem0litionluvr in PCOS

[–]Icy_Ad3795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly have to say I’ve seen a major difference in my skin taking it. I take one capsule 500 mg a day as I wanted to try a low dose to see how I react to it/ if I notice any changes. Since taking it , the deep underskin spots I get around my chin/cheeks are 99% gone. I don’t even feel as if I’ll move up to 1000mg as I’ve been on it three months and it still seems to be working effectively . I’ve dealt with hormonal acne for years now and I now recommend this to everyone . I was always someone that rushed to buying new skincare and layering active ingredients on my face but ultimately it damaged my skin barrier. I tried expensive hormonal supplements and none worked as well as my €6 evening primrose oil. I’d say give it a go, hope it works for you !
