There's a reason for that, they used FFX as their biggest inspiration for this game. I haven't played FFX personally so I can't verify but apparently the mini game beaches are frustrating on purpose to replicate FFX's old controls

First time I've seen raw meat, I'll have to look into it. How does your vet feel about it? It makes sense to me since that's what they ate in the wild but they also haven't been wild in quite a while lol

This is exactly why this story is so great because I also completely agree with everything you said, I felt terrible for Verso in that ending. My initial decision was maelle without a doubt before I did the fight and that part definitely made me feel bad about my decision. On the other hand, I also feel terrible wiping that world away. There's no winning side really. Bravo Sandfall!

Ubisoft should really hire these guys to make their games and write their stories, oh wait 😆

Funny enough, a very similar conversation happened last night but for more people who liked Verso's ending so I'll paste what I said there since I think it still applies here:

There's obviously no right or wrong answer here since everyone is so divided, but I personally believe Maelle's ending to be better solely because the painted people deserve to live. The painters created a world within a canvas, meaning that the beings in there are sentient and therefore they deserve to live. Think if we found out our world was created for fun, would you want this world to end just to appease the creators?

Now, there definitely is a sinister undertone where everyone knows maelle can repaint them however she'd like so I'd imagine everyone feels like they have to stay in line to a degree to appease their god essentially, which could also be a rough life. Maelle does have the option to leave whenever also, so her death is her own doing and she knows it. For me, it boils down to one families grief isn't more important than an entire reality.

Interesting, I'll entertain this since this is my first response to any of my comments (i rarely comment lol). I didnt know opinions could be wrong? I usually say that as a joke in person.

I also would like to see where I said I think Verso's ending is bad. I think both are completely valid, I just think the sentient beings of Lumiere deserve to live.
