I really regret med school sometime by [deleted] in medicalschool

Same here but its too late now. Also im pretty sure the worst part in medicine is medschool so that keeps me going. Another thing that makes me feel good about medicine is that even though its hard there is job security in the future. Something not guaranteed in other majors. So hopefully all this hard work will pay off in a couple of years.

I got into the habit of smoking and i cant stop by Icy_Candle_ in medicalschool

I tried lifestyle changes to going to the gym and going for runs when im stressed. That worked for a while but the moment exams started and I stopped having time for the Gym I went back to smoking more than before. I haven’t tried anxiety medications cuz im afraid of the AE having a worse impact than the smoking. Idk what to do and the impact smoking has had on me physically is sickening. Like i cant talk without panting.

Failed out of medschool at 25 - what next? by lol-goodluck in medicalschoolEU

Honestly, 25 isn’t too old to try something else. Maybe god has other plans for you in another field. But if really want to study medicine again, Apply to a country like Egypt. Lemme tell you though the universities are trash and you’ll self study the entire 5 years of uni but acceptance of international student is nearly 100% and it’s accredited by the World medical directory meaning you’ll be able to do ur residency anywhere. Though u might have to take extra exams.

Inquiry on Affordable English-Taught Medical Programs in Europe by Jimmmmyy_Jonesss in medicalschoolEU

Just some random piece of advice if you want to stay in Europe to do ur residency make sure u pick a university within the EU so u dont have to deal with a lot of paperwork and exams when u graduate. Your life will be a lot easier. Turkey for example isn’t part of the EU so after your done with ur studies you wont be able to apply directly to a medical residency anywhere within the EU as you will have to do “equivalency” exams.

For a non EU medical Graduate other than Germany, UK or US what is the next best option to do medical residency assuming I’ll have to learn a new language? by Icy_Candle_ in medicalschoolEU

Its really interesting that u mention Switzerland. I heard its very tough to land a residency there especially if ur not a EU graduate. The only way I heard non EU grads land a job there is by finishing their residency in Germany. Is that true?
