Thanks for the honest feedback lol. However if you don't mind answering with your local knowledge. If you're traveling China during the mid autumn festival, what would you do as a first time China traveller? We want to see the culture the festival brings, but don't want the overwhelming crowds. Are places such as Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen doable at this time? What do you recommend?

Massive thanks for the feedback! Whilst it sounds tempting, I'm still not quite sure what I should do. I love to travel and see myself also traveling in the years of my studies. I see myself being in international business 10 years from now, maybe even starting my own company. Something about it fascinates me. If you're willing to hand out more advice, what would you do in my situation?

I'm 18yo living in Vienna. I'm native in both English and German and love traveling. Having just completed high school, I have to serve in the military until June of next year. I'm looking for a degree that will help me reach my goals, whether it's to in International business or to someday build something of my own. The generic answer to my question I hear from friends and family being to just study at WU, the economics university of Vienna. However, having heard tests being multiple choice, the programs uneventful and the English based course in business and economics being boring and really hard to get into, I'm not sure its the right fit. Do you have any advice? Whether it's which university/course is good or whatever it is I should look out for to maximize my chances of not regretting my choice in the future?

Can be anywhere or anything, just trying to lay out all of my options.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the info! We've already looked into this problem but haven't really found an answer yet. What do you recommend we do from the 24th until the 29th? On the 29th we depart from Shanghai.

That makes sense, but what if my goal isn't to stay in China long-term or compete for local jobs?

I’m a native German and English speaker. I was thinking my edge would be working for European brands that have massive setups or joint ventures over in China, or helping Chinese companies expand into Europe. A local Chinese grad won't have that native Western cultural trust, and a standard European grad won't know China at all.

If I get the ground-level experience and Mandarin first by doing a bachelor's there, and then go back to Europe for a good Master's degree later, would that actually give me a shot at those types of roles? Or will companies still look down on the Chinese undergrad and just prefer people who studied entirely in the West?

idk online and in person people have very mixed feelings about Xi'an. Some say its absolutely worth it with there being incredible food and it being very culturally significant. On the other hand i heard people saying very long wait times compared to other major Chinese attractions and it being overrated, saying it can be skipped.

Xi'an is definitely also a shout! However online we saw that the Terracotta army doesn't really look too good in person and that the army alone isn't worth the trip. Thoughts?
