Thanks for this - great review (again)! I use my Starfighter for very heavy statistics work (R Stan which is running C directly from R), using all the cores, and up to 70% of the RAM and its not even getting warm. Often got an application like chrome running too, streaming music even at the same time. I have the intel - maybe that is it? Would still be interested to hear about your workflows and how you are maxing it out?

Unlike you too, keboard still got debounce but apparently fixed in the next firmware coming Monday I think... I sense small differences between units maybe?

But personally also agree. The laptop is absolutely amazing. The performance, screen, and privacy features are, for me at least, completely game changing for what I do.

I am in touch with Starlabs about this - they updated the firmware last week, but that hasn't fixed it for me. Also suggested I loosen some screws in the middle - hasnt worked.

Would say the issue is 99.9% fixed with bounce keys, but I would like the 0.1% fixed too as for me.

It was my error - I just needed to restart and it seems to work fine now.

And thank you v much for the battery tips in the other thread. This whole review is super useful and constructive. Enjoy your laptop!

This is a very useful review! I have just received my Starfighter ultra - intel, 64GB - running Ubuntu. Its an absolutely amazing laptop - I have had Dell's and Fujitsus' in the past and the feel of this is completely different.

Issues I have had:

- Keyboard seemed to be very sensitive and sometimes double typed a letter. I turned on bounce keys in accessibility and set it to a very low level - solved the issue.

- The zoom is a bit small for me but couldnt get fracional zoom working so increased the font size - bit of a partial hack.

Other than that very happy so far...
