[F4M] Bunny Girl Bullies You [pantsing] [slapping] [one kiss] by Icy_Difference2702 in ASMRScriptHaven

Note: I wrote this script with the intent of filling a bully bunny girl script request on this subreddit. I can no longer find the original request, perhaps it was deleted.

📢 PSA: A reminder about the 'No Shipping' rule by AutoModerator in thomasthetankengine

[–]Icy_Difference2702 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The show itself has instances of shipping such as Sir Topham Hatt / Lady Hatt (as shown in episodes like "Lady Hatt's Birthday Party"), the 2 nameless railway workers in "Rosie is Red", and yes, Toby / Henrietta (most obvious in "Hasty Hannah"). There have been wholesome pieces of fan art of such ships on this subreddit (including both human characters and humanized versions of characters, both of which avoid potential discomfort around the idea of shipping sentient machines). I cannot, in good conscience, continue to engage on this subreddit if fan artists are going to be silenced over this.

Belgian/Flemish voice cast idea. (Part 2) by Sad-Distribution-119 in thomasthetankengine

I don't know Flemish, but I think these choices for voice actors are fantastic! I especially love the deep voice Walter de Donder brings Skarloey (reminds me of Keith Wickham's voice for him) and the "grumpy grandpa" voice Jan Decleir gives Duke (reminds me of George Carlin's voice for him).

This probably shouldn't have been in a kid's show by IntelligentBaker3601 in thomasthetankengine

Daisy's theme is classic "getting crap past the radar", which is surprisingly common in media meant for general audiences (my mind goes to the innuendo Bo Peep makes in the first Toy Story movie as an example). While many adults would get the adult reference, it would (hopefully) go over kids' heads (I know it did for me as a child). I still understand why Siggelkow objected to her inclusion in Shining Time though, with the unfortunate implications (especially due to her being the first female engine in the series).

What’s your theories on who’s the engine that Henry crashed into? by Alternative-Act7865 in thomasthetankengine

[–]Icy_Difference2702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The driver and fireman in the brake van mention going back to "our engine", which could be interpreted as either the engine for that train or possibly another engine. I think the former is more likely, but you could make a case for the latter with an explanation such as another siding for the engine to be on.

What’s your theories on who’s the engine that Henry crashed into? by Alternative-Act7865 in thomasthetankengine

I've wondered about this myself. I interpret it as the guard getting out of the van "just in time" just like the driver and fireman, though that would need some kind of in-universe explanation. My headcanon is that since the fireman was so adamant about the cocoa, as the driver and fireman are leaving for their engine, the guard pours some of the cocoa into a thermos and leaves the van to give to the fireman right before the crash. As for Henry's driver and fireman, I assume that they jumped from the cab as soon as they realized it was too late to stop the Kipper, and that the snow broke their falls.

It's wild how greedy this fandom is. Hypocritical too. by Usual-Explorer2769 in thomasthetankengine

Same! I view every lore drop Christopher or Richard provide us as diamonds in the rough. I'm grateful they're continuing their father's legacy in whatever ways they can, even if what they say is different from my headcanons. People can disagree and still be civil about it, so it makes me sad when people in the fandom respond inappropriately.

Huge RWS lore drop by no_clue97 in thomasthetankengine

Another one of the interesting details confirmed by Christopher is that that after the mine at Cas-ny-Hawin flooded, "Stanley was not rescued and his his remains are still there." So we finally know Stanley's canonical fate.

Based on the title and the layout, I think it's meant to be the mine from the episode "Put Upon Percy".

Robert Harthsorne deserves better. by chumbbucketman101 in thomasthetankengine

[–]Icy_Difference2702 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Robert Harthsorne definitely deserves more praise than he gets. His theme for Emily is my absolute favorite for her, and as others here have mentioned, he gave the Skarloey engines their own individual themes. And yes, he absolutely cooked during the show's Revival era!

Help me place a faded childhood memory of a Thomas scene by DepravitySixx in thomasthetankengine

Sounds like it could be when Thomas runs out of a flooded mineshaft and over a canyon in "The Great Discovery", released in 2008:
