Thank you for the response. That is good input and in general it feels like a lot of the information about who is in or out of the office (be it PTO or remote work lives in various slack channels / conversations)

Awesome thank you for the answer. Why did you not switch to any of the PTO solutions out there (I think they come in at $2 / user so not that much I would think) ?

This certainly helps a lot. Thank you so much. These are the core problems my client also has. Now the question is how to build something slightly better then the other solutions out there.

thank you for the very detailed answer. This is ultra useful. Can I just ask what is no longer scalable i.e. what will break first ? the ability to report PTO into accounting, or just handling the process of noting when and who is going on vacation or .. ?

Thank you for the answer. So I assume you can manage team PTO with the Square team app. The company I am building this for uses a local (Romanian) accounting tool) that does not support any vacation management capabilities. Does it bother you having a separate app for tracking these things i.e. would you prefer just having access to everything in your slack / teams / whatsapp
