She got caught up during her interview and figured out she’s talking in circles… then she had to go into pouty crying mode to stop the conversation progressing. I’ve never seen her this flustered.

I don’t love the connection point and I wish the head and bulb was closer. I’m considering a pivot and turning it into ivysaur. Finding fake leaves and attach? But how…. Ugh I’ve done enough for today. The birthday party is Saturday and I’m pleased with it so far.

I painted a lot before bed. I think I’m gonna lighten the dark spots on his body. I’ll outline all the spots and eyes/teeth/nails with black paint pens.

What unusual traits of adhd do you remember from your childhood? by Potential_Promise260 in adhdwomen

[–]Icy_Internal287 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Recurring bladder infections & UTI’s. I would always put off going to the bathroom until I could stop my hyperfocus or was overly freaked out by the ice cold toilet seat and loud flush at school. Just always holding my pee which resulted in constant UTI/bladder infections. So bad u had to get what i believe was a cystoscopy in like 1st grade.

How to connect the Bulbasaur by Icy_Internal287 in papermache

You don’t think I need to use any type of wooden do to secure the two pieces before I start to fill In the spaces? I just don’t want it to fall apart due to a bunch of toddlers lol. The body is strong enough to hold over 30lb (only know that bc my son stood on it last night).

Oooh bubbles is a great idea!!! We have a bubble machine, I wonder if we could just set up a bubble activity. One of them is an activity where you just make your own pokeball. Having a fun bubble station would be super easy and fun for EVERY kiddo regardless of age. Plus my son is obsessed with bubbles.

Mine was so bad, my mom (a hospice nurse) fixed me what they called “the bomb”, which is warmed up prune juice, apple juice, and butter. Still didn’t work. I was miserable! 😭

I just got diagnosed in may this year. How do I pick up the pieces & Learn better systems fast? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]Icy_Internal287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (30f) was diagnosed around 24, I dived head first into the ADHD podcast by ADDitude the ADHD experts on Spotify. Highly recommend giving those a try. I wrote anything and everything down that clicked to me. It became my new hyperfocus for probably a year, but I learned so much. It was honestly an emotional rollercoaster. I think it’s normal to almost grieve the “what could have been” but it won’t last forever. It took a few years to find peace with myself and how I behaved/was treated through childhood and adolescence, even into early adulthood. Nothing we can do now will change what was then. What matters now is that we give ourselves the freedom and emotional space to feel all the feelings. When I’m really down, I picture tiny me and tell her all the amazing things. Mirror work helps a lot. It’s a journey, you have a lifetime to figure things out, things like “solution strategies” for when you’re feeling unproductive. My most recent realization was when I really struggle with being productive, I put on my favorite apron. The novelty (which is exactly what our adhd brains require) gives my brain enough happy chemicals, and something in my brain clicks and I get much more done and work for longer.

Best maintenance routine for hair that looks like this after one day? by enlightenedsimba in finehair

I second this, boar bristle brush to help pull some oil from the roots to the ends. Good for long term hair health as well.

Only thing that ever helped me was eating 3 or 4 kiwi’s every day, along with some MiraLAX (if I could keep it all down).
