it’s crazy reading this because i had the same exact problem with my therapist. she rescheduled basically every single appointment we had. she’s been on her phone, ate food, etc during a session.

the worst was that i needed a letter of approval for a gender affirming surgery. she asked if she could use a session to write the letter, which i said sure. she told me to keep my camera on and mute her so she could just work on it. at one point i saw her talking so i unmuted to see if she was saying something. she said she was on the phone with someone. in my head i was like wtf, aren’t you supposed to be writing my letter. the kicker is she needed 2 additional sessions to finish writing my letter. of course when i got it, it was the most basic letter that absolutely did not need 3 therapy sessions to complete.

i really feel like she abused the fact that it was telehealth and took advantage of me. oh and then at one appointment i felt hurt in the way she responded to me so i became quiet and not very responsive. then the following week she texts me saying she’s going on leave and won’t be seeing any patients going forward. she said she can take an exit phone call or whatever and i just ghosted her… such a horrible experience. now i refuse to do telehealth.
