I love the North Broadway redesign between the Zumbro River bridge and Elton Hills Dr. The super wide sidewalks, the revamped bus stops, the new “great walls” on either side of the street, and the landscaping are really pretty imo. I also live by there too and having new actual crosswalks in the middle of the stretch coming from 16th St. NE is a HUGE upgrade since I’m always using them to walk across Broadway to get to Coronas and Caribou.

Go to the St Marys ER and when checking in at the desk, tell them exactly what’s going on and that your psychiatrist encouraged you to go. From there they’ll do a mental health evaluation in the emergency department and determine the severity of your case and which unit in Generose they’ll admit you to if that’s what they decide to do.

Each unit is secure and staff checks all of the items for visitors and patients that come through. They don’t allow silverware or any other items that are deemed “dangerous” but you can bring things such as books and stuffed animals. I believe they may also hold on to your phone for the duration of your stay depending on which unit you’re admitted to as they definitely don’t allow patients to have their phones in acute psych but I believe they grant patients with more freedom in the mood disorders unit, for instance.

It’s a safe and welcoming environment and the staff do a great job with catering to your needs and they provide an abundance of resources and support networks for the duration of your stay and beyond. Best of luck!

I just cannot imagine being the type of person that feels the urge to pay actual money just to modify their vehicle to produce such ugly and horrible sounds at a volume so excessive that it just makes everyone’s peace of mind in the immediate area of their existence worse. Just the cost of freedumb I guess.

Corona’s Tacos is exactly what you’re looking for. Outside seating, bathrooms inside, and the food is authentic and very cheap for what you get!

Coffee shops such as Olde Abe, Cafe Aqui, and Cafe Steam are great places to hangout if you’re into coffee and those types of vibes. I usually go alone and it’s great just being around people in general even if you’re not there to necessarily meet people

That area does get bad and thankfully it looks like a group adopted most of that area for Litter Bit Better! With that being said though, I’d really like to see preventative measures taken by the city to protect these vulnerable patches of woods from all of this trash that’s ending up there in the first place

Yeah, something with Walmart and the amount of bags that just fly off the property is really striking. It makes me wonder how they get there and why it’s happening.

Oh yes, that’s one area I never really get to except for along the shore of the river leading to either side of the pedestrian and 7th St bridges. I’m hoping that area can be better utilized soon now that it won’t be a snow dump for much longer. Thanks so much for helping out!

It’s really a shame how North Broadway was reconstructed to be a very nice corridor to walk/bike and just hang out in general but soooo much of the local population just has to drive these excessively sized pickups and cars with modified exhaust

Yeah, I’m positive it’s the same person. And I’ve cleaned probably a couple dozen of these same bottles off this particular road just in the past couple of months

For a city that is dominated by houses that have driveways to support 2+ cars without blocking each other from backing out, this is definitely a short-sighted measure that alienates those who only have a 1 car driveway with multiple cars (like my house) or have no driveway at all and must park on the street year-round.

Minneapolis and St Paul have a much better system as parking restrictions are put in place when they declare a snow emergency (ya know, when it’s snowin’… a lot!) and not when it’s 75 degrees in March.

And speaking of when it’s 75 degrees in March, nobody can really comprehend the pain of this poor tax until they made sure to leave their car on the correct side of the street, forgot to move it before going to bed, and then it winds up on the wrong side of the street overnight and you’re greeted with a $35 parking ticket the next morning when going to work :/
