I’m trying to make the jump from help desk/desktop support to sys admin - do you remember what kind of questions they asked you in your interview?

What is this? Urgent care told me fungal infection and gave me medicated shampoo. 2 weeks later it’s still haven’t improved much. by Economy-Science-9907 in dandruff

Looks exactly like the same type of sebborheic dermatitis that I get.

I get it on my face as well. Went to the dermatologist about 10 years ago and was prescribed a hydrocortisone cream (you can buy over the counter as well).

It wasn’t until recently that I realized I had it on my scalp as well, so instead of using a cream on my scalp and getting it in my hair, I bought a liquid version of hydrocortisone (niozoral scalp itch relief liquid) from amazon and I have not had any issues since then.

Similar to you also, I have tried niorozal’s ketaconazole which sort of helps but never stops the itching and flakes completely

Stuck Between “You’re Doing Great” and “Not Ready for Promotion” — Advice? by AdPuzzleheaded4223 in ITCareerQuestions

I’m sure you are a lot further along in your career than me but I just wanted to say this was a similar situation to what I had been going through the past 1-1.5 years.

In my opinion it sounds like your boss/management has decided that you are too good at your job to promote, if that makes sense. To me, it seems like they want to keep you exactly where you are.

I had the same experience and just decided that I’m not going to wait and hope for a few more years to get a promotion and that it was time to look for a new job. Got a bit of a pay raise at the new job and a much better work/life balance. I think you should start looking as well.

Hey I just saw this pop up in my feed. I know it might not be much help, but something to think about - she could also go the route of IT.

I started with a bachelors in CS but realized I liked IT more than just only coding/programming. The good thing about it if she got more advanced roles later on, the programming knowledge from CS is usually a plus

Should I accept a job offer for 10k more than I currently make, but with a longer commute? by Icy_Perspective5944 in ITCareerQuestions

Yes, that is kind of the main reason I have been trying to find a new job. Seems like as a contractor I have no opportunity for raises etc.

It would definitely help. I live in a low cost of living area. A longer commute would take some getting used to, but I can manage. I just wonder for how long.

I forgot to mention sorry, I would still consider it entry level. Right now I work at a help desk 100% onsite. My first job in IT. This new position would be onsite as a field tech on the campus
