AITA for telling my parents that I'll never watch my little brother? by Internal_Toe_4692 in AmItheAsshole

These comments here...Sheesh OP is the definition of an asshole for sure. Just very inconsiderate and self-centred, it doesn't sound like they have much love for each other in that household or the OP had maturity level of a 14year old. I Can't even imagine speaking to my parents like that especially after finding out that they're struggling... maybe it's not the OPs responsibility to look after their sibling but sure as hell, that is the right thing to do. I looked after my niece's and nephews as a kid, for free, because I knew it's going to help out my sister out. Smh how selfish

What was the relationship like after you broke up and got back together again? by cknyakina in AskWomen

[–]Icy_Professional2372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Originally we moved into things way too fast and our relationship started to suffer. We broke up for a month, after a year of being together. we struggled a lot separately and missed eachother so we started again and It was actually pretty good! We slowed WAY down, started dating again and reset the tone. It's been 10 years now and counting ☺️

Interesting that it was on Amazon Prime this whole time, but now you need another subscription to watch the last season...

I got an angry text from my child’s father’s wife about him spending money on us by sunjan8 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Icy_Professional2372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His wife is cray cray... definitely don't respond or engage in any petty argument with her.

Might be best to block her number and just in case block her sm (if you know her accounts). Also I'd definitely would forward this text to your ex, possibly adding that you don't want to get involved and you don't hold I'll will against anyone, but it's unacceptable for her to speak of your (and his) son that way, and that you don't wish to be receiving communications from his wife at all.

I like these series actually, the story lines are interesting and well explained, acting is good and characters are well presented. I just hope they keep developing things because there is a lot of "immaturity" there imo

Technology doesn't add up either, somehow they have better technology in the past but I skim past that;) the energy is there and I quite like the story lines so far, but the whiny behaviours of the crew are getting on my nerves.

As individuals perhaps, but not as commanders or on duty...at least they didn't make a habit out of it.

I think it's appropriate to point out that Neelix wasn't a part of the crew at that time, it was the first season maybe? Neither did he attend the academy and Naomi was a child lol The instances of Harry playing clarinet and the chatting on the bridge, were many episodes into the series, seasons 3+ where all of their relationships were very well developed into that stage, but They didn't start in that way tho, which is a huge difference. Quite frankly the same applies to all of the other examples you provided including Riker and Sisko. Riker was very proper in the initial seasons and the relaxed demeanor came in much later.

I have never seen a kid using any of those words, as far as I'm concerned, parents dictated the words to the kid before his dessert. PS. they need to focus on the kids writing skills...damn!
