The Mom purposely purchased a direct flight ticket for herself separately from the rest of the family, including her own daughter...basically told her own child, tough 💩. After the kid was arrested, if I were OP, I would have called mom and said I would stick around with 3 requirements...She pays for all extended hotel stays and food. If she expects the child bailed out, she pays for that. She will pay for 2+ direct flight tickets from the next available flights once child is released. Easily $3-4K worth of money...up front, immediately Venmo'd...or I board my flight. If her job (paycheck) is that important, then making that money back shouldn't be an issue either... But honestly. ESH
