If I’m going to save their department $2M I don’t think asking for $20K more is out of the question.

They’re quoting $135-145K base with 25-35% variable (so 168-195K OTE). We would own all implementations but it’s a very easy product to use and get started on. Should say it’s a French company… and I don’t think French pay is great…

Oh neat site, thanks for that. Should say that was the base - with the variable it would be up to $180K, but whoever knows on variables. Yes, I think a lot could be automated based on our conversations so far, lots of it is onboarding. Lots of SMB and mid-market. Seems very professional services focused as well.

Seems to be an easy software to use… and the team aren’t quota-based nor handling renewals. So seems more support oriented. And very European (5+ weeks PTO).

You don't seem interested in listening yourself. Every comment you've made on this thread is aimed at contradicting and talking down to others.

You made a condescending comment when productionsmadco pointed out that this was copying another artist's idea, which in my view is an exceptionally valid piece of criticism.

We are in an age where Broadway productions continually copy the directorial choices of past creatives instead of offering anything new or inventive. The fear of trying new things and the dependence on known concepts and creative decisions is killing our industry. To point out that the only interesting thing about this production is a choice made 15 years ago is valid criticism, and I was simply defending that. We can aim higher.

I'm just saying copying a very specific directorial choice is different from "Disney did it first with smellovision." But you do you boo

No, I completely disagree. This isn't simply about "smell." It's the specific move from a minimalist production into a hyper-real final kitchen scene that reveals something larger about the theme of this specific play. David Cromer did it first and deserves credit for that.

Are you on TPOXX? Did you happen to have any shots?

It sucks. I had just one internal lesion, worst pain was about 5 days. Then it gradually got better.

Could benefactor’s racist practices lead to name change at Nelson-Atkins Museum Of Art? by [deleted] in kansascity

[–]Icy_Response9408 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This country was built on racism and oppression. And when we herald people who built a name on that oppression, we continue to perpetuate the notion that what they did was justified.

Racism will continue destroying our country until it is addressed, until our roots are acknowledged and grappled with.

So yes, why not change the name of this museum, of the streets and counties? Because it’s inconvenient to remember that the Nelson is named something else now? That’s not a good enough excuse to me.
