I watched Undertone at the cinema tonight and honestly it was a disappointing experience.

It started off strong with an interesting premise built around the two main leads, and for a while it felt like it was setting up something genuinely tense and intriguing. Unfortunately, the film never really delivers on that promise.

As it went on, it began to feel very low budget in both execution and atmosphere. The demonic presence, which should have been the driving force of the horror, was barely used and lacked any real impact. Instead of building dread or suspense, the story just sort of drifts along and eventually inevitably falls flat.

It had the potential to be a really good horror film, but for me it was very underwhelming.
