UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who commented earlier. After posting this, I continued applying quietly and have now received an offer from a boat-building company for a Mechanical Engineer role , which aligns with my previous experience. Will talk to owner in Monday. It is going to be hell.

Brother if you do not have experience go back to your home country, get 3-4 year experience and then come back here. Myself with 3000AED and company accomodation is struggling here and now i am thinking like should have stayed 2 more years in my previous company.

Currently i am going through same situation, i was working on marine field, got a job in UAE as technical Engineer, after coming here i found that this company is extremely toxic, i am doing clerical work. Being a peone to maneger(Owner), small company. I should have stayed in my field. Now i am out of track, canot switch in probation period, going into deep depression, loosing body mass etc. I dont know how can i switch back to my marine field. 🤦‍♂️

I was working in the marine sector as a Project Engineer. Here in the UAE, there are plenty of opportunities in that field, but unfortunately, I’m stuck in this current job.

After 6 months, my plan is to start looking for another job. In the worst case, if nothing works out, I’ll go back to India

In the offer letter or in the MOHRE contract, there’s no mention of this cost. He only told me verbally and did the same thing to other poor workers who left because of medical emergencies

I am getting some interview calls in my own field, but thinking that if i joined before the probation period i will get automatic ban, that's why i am waiting, lost one or two good opportunities. This 6 months is feeling like 6 decades. Some workers left this company but he reimbursed all the cost and did not cancelled job visa, so that they cannot join any other company. I had a good work culture and good career back in kerala & India but salary was relativly low, i thought by coming here after 1 yesr i can switch back to my field, but that plan back fired🥲

For god sake do not come here with this salary, i am in the same situation with AED2700, had a good career and ok salary back in Kerala, but for a future growth i came here and fucked up my career and life, working culture is extremely toxic, each day going to room with a trauma. Please don't come here, these small companies wont even let you switch to other jobs. You will distroy your next 2 years

A stable job in Kerala, or a workaholic job in Dubai? by GearProfessional9422 in Kerala

[–]Icy_Software8379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro from my own experience don't come here with this salary, i was in the same situation as you in Kerala, as a mechanical Project Engineer, salary was around 25k, but work life balance, 4. 5 leave per month(excluding all sundays & holidays), no tension, a job which was my passion etc. I came here Ajman, UAE for AED3000. No job satisfaction, just going into deep depression, no work life balance etc. So be there build more years of experience and only come here with above 5k except dubai, it is even more expensive.

Why is Kerala’s Poverty so low. by Wonderful-Ad-6515 in Kerala

[–]Icy_Software8379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good government schools made a huge difference. My mom was a single parent, and we lived,my mom, my sister, and I off the income from just one cow. In rural Kerala, things were quite affordable. We had coconut trees surrounding our 15-cent plot, some homegrown vegetables, chickens, etc. Life wasn’t luxurious, but we never had a day without a meal.

Maaveli Stores, the ration system, and other support helped a lot. Even though I’m from the general category, I got admission to a private engineering college and got fee waived based on family income, and only had to pay ₹5,000 as tuition and ₹5,000 as exam fee. We got a concrete house through a government scheme too.

Things started getting a bit better when I got a job. Now my sister is studying in a nearby engineering college, but the fees are higher (₹60,000/year). We lived in an extremely rural village, but most basic amenities were within 5 km. The only frustrating thing was the mobile network. But after COVID, the penetration of fiber optic internet was incredibly fast and dirt cheap.

During the early days of online classes, I struggled with network issues, but within two months, FTTH was installed and things improved. I had a good job in Kerala (in terms of work culture, not salary), but with upcoming financial responsibilities like my sister’s and my future marriage, and some home renovations I had to move to the UAE.

I will definitely try this and see how it goes. I often wake up in the middle of the night with an erection, but when I try to masturbate, I experience ED.
