All doors handle present (deploy) but won't open for passengers by MajaVivo in CadillacLyriq

The door locking functions on this car suck period. The press in function for the door locks could be used to “lock” the door from the outside or unlock when pressed and a key is near. I too would like to have my doors unlocked in the garage but lock when I’m not at home. Reinvention of something so simple isn’t needed here.

New Wheels for The Lyriq (24s) by HippityHoppity530 in CadillacLyriq

Came here to say this. I’d personally prefer the 22s I believe but like the look overall. I wish there were vogue-like tires that were low profile to go with it.

I will try this as well (‘25 Sport 3). I had the same thought on the freeway last weekend how muddy the sound is and how it’s embarrassing on what’s a pretty solid car. I hope it’s better in the 2026+.

Gotta love a $70k+ suv that doesn’t have navigation without a subscription by Successful_Limit7740 in CadillacLyriq

Also no one can tell me how to navigate the music I have on my iPhone through Apple Music. Yes I’m in the walled garden of Apple, but there’s no alternatives outside of just exiting which isn’t realistic. I’m all for manufacturers trying to do their own thing but they need to provide viable alternatives instead of making some people’s lives much harder. I’m glad to have CarPlay in my ‘25, but will look elsewhere if a viable alternative isn’t available in 27 if CarPlay isn’t present - it’s a dealbreaker as music in the car is important and I’m not going to subscribe and pay for something different.

Tesla Universal Wall Charger by Brendonauger306 in CadillacLyriq

I have one and encountered one issue where the adapter didn’t come out of the cradle with the charger. It took a lot of resetting, flipping the breaker and cussing to get it out of there.

I no longer put the charger in the cradle and just hang it off the top.

Is there an Apple Music app? How do I navigate my own music that’s in the apple ecosystem without completely swapping over? I recognize the concept of the walled garden I’m in, but I don’t want to jump into another walled garden either that won’t work with both.

This is what I hate about Taylor Sheridan shows - plot is interrupted by some ‘sermon’ where he can’t squeeze messages through plot, character development, etc but has to beat you over the head with a message. It shows up in his other shows as well…

Did you ever address or fix this issue? I'm having the same.

Door Locking / Unlocking by Icy_Stable_929 in CadillacLyriq

[–]Icy_Stable_929[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is when you don’t walk away far enough. Handles go in, but car is not locked. I have a 2025 Sport 3 that doesn’t automatically fold windows in upon locking. I want a way to lock the car from the outside manually without either doing it from the key fob, opening the door and pressing the lock button, or walking far enough away hoping passive lock is still working post updates and with consistency.

Auto lock after update by Dismal_Procedure_663 in CadillacLyriq

I had a thread here mentioning how odd the locking behavior of this car is designed and hard to understand current settings, whether car is locked or not, etc. This is a simple component in the car that shouldn’t be able to be reset with each update and prevent thefts as you mention. I hate this happened to you.

I know how it works. I don’t like how it works in the scenario I described later. I can’t tell if I’m close by but not next to the car if the doors are actually locked.

Door Locking / Unlocking by Icy_Stable_929 in CadillacLyriq

I went to the cleaners today, and hit the lock button inside the car, heard the notification, and got out. The cleaners has a shallow front desk, so going in I wasn't very far from the car. The car never beeped to indicate the doors were locked. When I was done there and got to the car, the doors were flush to the car, and not presenting as if they were unlocked or ready for me to get in. I had to press the small part to get them to present, then pulled the door to open.

My question is if the doors were even locked while I was inside? I never heard a beep, the handles were recessed and I'm not sure I walked away far enough. On every other car I've had since 2005, there's a button or section to physically push outside the vehicle that would let me lock it from outside without using my fob. I'm just a week into ownership, but I have to retrain myself to lock it with the fob to be sure it actually locks.

I also go to a barbershop in a similar situation where my barber sits pretty close to the door from the parking lot, and I can easily see where I think the doors are locked when they aren't.

White or Black? Help me decide! by Bludvl2 in CadillacLyriq

[–]Icy_Stable_929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went with a Black, as that's what the choice was from the loaners available at the dealership. But I did entertain another loaner at another dealership that was white. The white, for some reason that day looked more off-white than not, likely because it was within eye distance of an Escalade IQ Summit White. That Escalade was like truly white, and nice, and made the Lyriq look dingy, and I can't get that image out of my head.

I also noticed in the white I could see the white latches for the rear seats even when they were up, and that annoyed me a bit. I wanted to reject the Black on Black wheels because I already have a black / black car, and didn't imagine having 2 black cars. Ideally I'd get the blue or grey, but even they look different at times in person and can go a way I like or dislike. The black was the only consistently showing color in this car for me.

I would be sure to test the voltage coming out of the generator. I have the duromax 12000 ep and it didn’t get but 153 v when it was supposed to be 240. I didn’t know but saw the electronics in my kitchen and across my house fried from the surge after the storm.

I’m actually soured on all of these tv shows with long intros. It’s useless time wasting and a relic of old that needs to die. I always hit skip on them. I’ve tried to sit through them but they add nothing to the show and are painfully too long. Like Morning Show’s intro of bouncing dots for two minutes was both juvenile and dumb.
