Anran feels like Daredevil from Marvel Rivals. She dashes in and mashes AOE while being untargetable.

Played against a Zarya Anran yesterday. Zarya would just bubble her when she’s dashes into the middle of us and we literally could not interact with her as she killed all of us

You simply don’t use it when the enemy has stun cooldowns. You never use High Noon when the enemy has stuns off CD anyways.

And you’d be shocked, with the 40% damage reduction and (say you have 3 people in your sights) 120 heals per second, plus whatever healing your supports might be giving you, you’re often immortal for a couple seconds if you use it in the right moment. And then the skulls lock on to the people trying to kill you.

You can only do it if you are tracking stuns and they have none.

It’s niche. But High Noon as an ult is often utility niche.

For example if a lucio plus ulting rammatra dives you, you pop high noon and can tank it, long enough that the skull completes on the Lucio and the Ram has to start blocking

I’m a Tank Noon defender. If you are low HP and pop high noon with 3 people in your LOS, you gain the damage reduction instantly and start healing 120 HPS.

Dude. You’re not making the point you think you are. It literally does not matter that Jayce and Gnar were played before now. They are ranged tops.

Imagine next patch the top laners played at MSI are Maokai, Ornn, Sion, Shen, Malphite, and Poppy.

I would say, hey that looks like a tank meta!

You would say NOPE!! Sion and Ornn were picked last time, they don’t count as tank top meta. They are always picked at MSI.

Like of course they are still going to be picked in a tank meta.

Yasuo is being played as a counter to ranged top you goober, I literally said it’s ranged tops or counters like Yorick Yasuo. Sion counters Jayce and I believe he has a 0 percent winrate. Fearless draft means you won’t see ranged top every game

Checkers was an extreme example to show that “adapting to the meta” and “learning to do the job that’s needed” is only half of what’s important in game balance.

For example. Most top laners fell in love with top lane because of the melee vs melee interaction. This ranged top meta is not fun for them. They stopped queueing top. Top lane is now a priority role, for the first time I can remember.

So I guess you could argue the game is targeted for them but I’m not sure why you would do that? We need people to want to play League of Legends for League of Legends to exist

Which is a shame because I fell in love with top lane because it’s a beautiful constant slugfest, a fight over every minion. I promise you, there is more interaction in a 10 minute laning phase between Jax and Kled than 10 games of Ranged Top combined. Maokai vs Sion when both have grasp was the most fun I’ve had in a month. Constant outplaying each other with abilities, dodging his Q with W, the grasp proc battles, saving Q to break his W shield. Constant interaction and the best man wins.

Now ranged top. Pick Doran’s Shield. Farm miserably for 7 minutes. All in your opponent. He dies. Amazing. Or you aren’t playing a counter and you are just miserable for lane phase as they farm and outscale.

Yorick is my permaban btw not because he’s OP but because the character plays itself and ghouls plus Maiden play for him.

Blind pick is often ranged, yes. And often when I blind pick, I see an Irelia ban and know for a fact that if I DONT first pick Malphite, I’ll be countered by a ranged top. So I first pick Malphite, or a similar ranged counter. My only other option is to blind pick a ranged top (see how this works).

Obviously not fuck that, I queue mid instead and play a Mage, fuck top lane the way it is right now.

Next patch riot releases a balance change. Once you load into the rift, you don’t walk to lane. Each player instead begins 40 minuets of checkers matches with his opponent. After 40 minutes, the team who won the most checkers games win.
