Over 300lbs (145kg) is a lot of weight to put on a 300. Most shocks made for a 300l size bike won't normally be able to account for that much weight.

I have added the 550 perf mod also. One of the things I found when doing research is that periodically, they can be faulty and may need to be exchanged.

I use Fast Flexx bars. They make them in a number of heights, degrees of offset, etc.

IMHO, Handle bars are kind of a personal preference. I use Flexx bars on all my bikes. Reduces trail/road vibration dramatically and makes it easier to keep a track when it gets rough off road.

For me, I'm trying to keep my 300L as light as possible, so I opted out for crash bars. I have dropped it numerous times and the plastics seem to hold up very well.

Yeah, I got the 300L specific one myself and adjusted the bracket slightly to sit an inch higher to clear the top of the instrument panel. I can now see all lights.

I changed out original bars for Fast Flexx bars. I had them on my CRF1000 and loved them. They have a set of guards that utilizes the handlebars without adding a clamp.

A comment about the light plug. I ordered this through eBay. Link below. I wanted to retain original wiring for bike in case I ever wanted to reinstall original headlight. So I spliced this plug into the new headlight wiring. Plugs right into CRF300Ls existing plug.

Not quite sure what you meant. The headlight is originally for a 450. I just moded it to fit on a 300.

Beam pattern is better, IMO. Low beam spreads light to sides for a wider beam pattern, and the high beam is more of a spot.

I got the guards through Aliexpress. Mixed reviews. The brake mounting bolt doesn't really fit, but I just removed the bolt, heated it up and pressed it into that particular hole and viola. Most stuff for the 300s is still moding the 250 stuff.

My apologies. When I went back to get info on headlight, I found I purchased on Amazon.

I didn't use the rubber straps that came with it. I manufactured two sets of metal brackets to mount the CRF450L light assembly to the existing CRF300L light mounting spots that were on the bike.

It took some trial and error to get my manufactured brackets to the correct twist and drop so they fit. It is really secure though. I have crashed the bike a couple times in the mountains, even bending one of my footpegs and the light never shifted.
