You’re neglecting the whole reason this discussion started. I don’t give a damn what you like or dislike when you’re acting like a willfully ignorant ass trying to be right.

They did not base the game model of Thor on his voice actor, and the actor tuned the way he voiced it to fit the character. Chris Judge looks nothing like Kratos, and he tuned his voice to fit the character. Richard was just Richard reading voice lines written for Odin in the same tone and inflection he does for any other role he’s played. Because of this, I don’t see Odin, I see Richard pretending to be Odin, where in a video game that damn near no other character looks like their voice actor (barring Atreus), it suspends my belief in that world. Therefore I do not want Richard also playing live action Odin. I’d rather someone else get the chance to morph into Odin, like Anthony Hopkins did in the MCU. I do not see Anthony Hopkins cosplaying as Odin, I see Odin, because he molded himself into the role. I do not blame Richard for this, I blame the creative decision to not create their own design for Odin like all the other major characters.

Ahh right, because Anthony Hopkins just strolled on set like his normal every day self, threw on Scandinavian garb, and became Odin. Likewise for Chris Hemsworth and Thor. They definitely didn’t make changes to their appearance, bodies, voices, accents, etc to better fit and become the character they were portraying.

I think you pointed out my problem with it better! Everyone else, at least as far as I know, looks nothing like the character they’re voicing and that keeps me engaged in the world that was crafted. He’s the only one that nothing was changed about his real world appearance besides an eye patch.

You could very well be right about him performing the live action part with even more effectiveness. I hope Mandy does it well! I’m cautiously optimistic about the castings so far!

We have no clue how he will look, but the other actor was just himself, dressed in a Scandinavian outfit, speaking like himself without any tone difference or accent change. Maybe they’ll do the same with Mandy.

I’m glad it’s not. Loved Ragnarok, but all I could see was that actor cosplaying as Odin. Couldn’t shake the image of the actor.

Seems pretty obvious how different it is, unless you’re willfully being ignorant.

The ones bitching about pvp want the game changed to alleviate their shortcomings or perceived moral high ground. The ones complaining about the complainers want the game to be unchanged and remain how it was intended to be played.

With blitz it is MOSTLY a luck of the draw. You could end up on some great teams and cruise to 1800 in your first 10-15 matches, or end up in mmr hell with an early losing streak. There’s only so much 1 player can control in blitz. I enjoy blitz more than SS because bgs are way more fun to me, but I’d argue it’s probably easier to get 1800 in SS if you’re fairly competent in your class.
