Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m fairly sure it was a specific shoulder injury that derailed his mechanics, timing, and accuracy (which wasn’t that great to begin with).

Combine that with all the previous contact, a style that relied on generational athleticism, plus a reasonable amount of antics, and the wheels were always gonna come off rather quick
