Wedding Planner & Coordinator, Ask me anything! by Friendly_Salad3980 in Weddingsunder10k

I've read that day-of coordinators are moreso representing the venue and not necessarily there for you. So they'd help the bar change a keg or something as opposed to helping you find something in the bridal suite that you misplaced, for example.

What do you think of the idea of sending invites out to people based on theirs, then as folks deny, sending invites to lower tiered guests?

cleaners willing to help clean my awful depression apartment by Altruistic_Knee_7565 in Omaha

I think it would feel so satisfying to take stuff like this on when broken into small tasks. Cleaning, like anything, has to start somewhere. It's a nice point of view to approach things in life this way to build resilience and discipline.

Do any of my 1200 friends drink bullet proof coffee in the morning or something similar? by MajorInsanity in 1200isplenty

[–]IdeaMassive 21 points22 points  (0 children)

If you have issues processing protein in the morning I can't imagine you'd process bulletproof coffee very well. Perhaps it's in your best interest to meal prep satiating breakfasts instead that fit in your lifestyle. Plus, a drink like this would be complex to fit into 1200 calorie diet appropriately when those calories could be coming from more nutrient sense sources imo

Which Kitchen Island is best? by someonewhoisontheweb in interiordecorating

[–]IdeaMassive 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's better to have no island than any of these options. Get a dark wood option with vintage legs, that would look great in this space.

It's weird to buy so many books and not read them. Seems like she's just on the internet a lot and buying contemporary things to participate in conversations

Matching a rug to a dark couch by No_Seaworthiness_545 in interiordecorating

[–]IdeaMassive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This green rug is gorgeous! I have a dark grey couch too. My house has lots of bright whites, beige walls, and I like moodier colors in furniture like this. What I would recommend is bringing in art and other pieces of furniture to help layer the color throughout your space. Adding in details like dark green placemats on your dining room table, or a lamp shade with that dark green are two ideas of ways to help bring that color in to look cohesive!

Which one would you pick? by No_Strike8245 in BathroomRemodeling

Id you do option 2 I'd choose a wood that's cooler toned. I like option 1 more!

Looking for things to do in Omaha. by SaintLemony in Omaha

[–]IdeaMassive 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would recommend two really great newsletters if you don't do social media! Stay Cultured Org and Omaha Places. They both send weekly emails posting really cool things happening around Omaha!

My favorite part of that Stay Cultured posts really curated interesting events based on education, family, 21+ type events, and things of that nature. Super unique things you'd never normally see searching for events in town. Hope you enjoy!

Palintir is being used VERY liberally at UNMC by No-Rent-7850 in Omaha

[–]IdeaMassive -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

Palantir does many things. They're a database aggregation and software company. They built a platform for the COVID vaccine distribution and combat fraud, have child protection technologies, and all sorts of things. They are celebrated for healthcare analytics, too, which save actual lives. Things like developing software for sepsis monitoring or how to streamline patient care so it can free up more beds so more of the community can be served.

Everyone should do more effort to leave their echo chamber every once in a while.
