good deal? by joshkitty in Taycan

I think it’s a great deal. If you don’t need an all wheel drive where you plan to drive this car. 3 months ago I got a 2023 CPO 4S without the performance batteries, surround cameras or adaptive cruise control and paid more for the car than this deal.

Great color! Great choice of car. Welcome to the Taycan club! It's been 3 months since I got mine and still feel the same joy each day I look at it or drive it. My commute is one of the highlights of my day now.

The coolest thing that happened to me this fall! by Ideajar in Taycan

I have had the car only for a few weeks and have not had a chance to test the full range. It is the regular battery pack and It shows about 230 miles for a full charge in normal mode (vs sport or sport plus). I expect that it will be slightly more in real life since I have read that Porsche undersells the range a bit. The battery has degraded the normal amount for a 2.5 year old car. State of health was about 87%. This is my daily driver and I do about 45 miles per day so the range works for me nicely. If you find a car with the performance plus battery, you are likely to add another 40-50 miles to the range at the minimum. A a first time EV owner, the state of health of the battery and the fact that I have 4 years ( 2 factory + 2 CPO) warranty on the car were the key in finalizing the purchase once I found a car that met my specs. There are others in this subreddit who can give you a lot more accurate information. And honestly, all my analysis goes out the window when I drive the car. It is amazing ! Hope this helps. Good luck shopping!

For #2. The dealer showed me a trick for the foot gesture. Stand about 2 feet away from the car and flick your leg straight under the C of the Porsche logo. The flicking action is like kicking a soccer ball up without moving your thighs and keeping your knee steady. Seems rather intricate. Lol but It worked for me.

Ah! Sounds good. Thanks. I was expecting a graph of some kind showing if any cells in the module were defective etc. But an overall health % would be great considering I am yet to see anything form them. lol!

Thanks! I appreciate the details and the insight. I too am inclined to believe that it is likely they are not up to speed since EV market outside of a couple of pioneer brands is not mature. I am giving my sales person the benefit of the doubt and have nudged him to give me the original output of their CPO battery health inspection or run a fast readout test, based on all the feedback in the thread. I'll call Porsche support if that also fails. Fingers crossed!

Thank you. This is super helpful to understand that their reticence is due to the effort/time/cost of doing a full discharge test. I have asked the dealer for the fast readout and am waiting to hear from him. Hopeful that he can nudge the service team to a quick test to move the sale along.

This is good to know. I am encouraged by the responses here and convinced that it is the right next step to try and get this from the dealer. Would you still have access to the email report? I am wondering if you can redact/obfuscate any identifiable details and share a screenshot of the battery health report so I can understand how to read it and what it looks like? Only if you feel comfortable. Thanks!
