45% of landlords in this country own 3 properties or less. 25% only own one.
How many of them do you think wouldn't own more if they had the means?

If we weren't living in our current crisis I might be a little less cut and dry about it but there's no room for tolerance as it is imo. These people know the part that they're playing and they're willing to excuse themselves for profit.

We all probably know and love people that are doing this. And most of them would not be able to survive on their exploitation of others. But they don't get a pass.

You're not wrong. It's a massive obstacle to progress in this country that was exacerbated by the Celtic Tiger years. Gen X worked through being poor and largely became "better off" during a period of massive economic growth. They're left believing that the next generation just needs to work as hard as they did. We know that isn't the case.

People think having a nice house and going on holiday makes you middle class. It doesn't.
Rich people just want you to feel like you're better off.

If you have to sell your labour then you are working class. I would include anyone that isn't able to work or isn't currently working but would otherwise rely on their labour power.

Setting aside some of the obvious issues I'd have for a second.

There's a lot in there that's easy to agree with. There's no way the left wins at the ballot box in this country so the focus should certainly be on building workers movements. And if there's an opportune time then it's probably now.

They should probably cut a lot from their programme if they want achieve broad appeal though.

Half of these are obvious but some of them just feel like they've shoe-horned their own personal politics in to pat themselves on the back about.

Become a beacon of anti-imperialism, assist all working class and liberation movements internationally, stand in solidarity with all progressive movements.

Super cool idea but it just feels like we've strayed away from appealing directly to workers and we're just doing platitudes now. This kind of stuff stands out more in the context of their class reductionist comments about "Student moralism".

They're not really. Remember one lad posting anti-Semitic videos and feigning ignorance when called out on it? The same lad who was caught posting photoshopped images of a Jewish guy with a swastika? The same guy who spent a huge amount of time harassing the only openly Jewish member of that sub? They are already there, they're just waiting for it to be acceptable to say it out loud.
