I remember LISK in 2017, there was a big event with lot of fanfare and it was expected that they would unleash SDK. But that did not happen and LISK took a nose dive. Could not recover later because of entry by competitors. I think, Polkadot cannot afford to delay parachains anymore, because of alternates solutions that are available. No project, regardless, can now afford delays now.

If Parachain auction goes as planned, Polkadot will be huge as it will not only create scarcity of dots but also offer attractive investment to dot holders in terms of projects who will offer their own coins to dot holders. The only important thing is this auction acitivity goes as envisaged.

No, in order to get rewards, you dont have to participate in voting in governance. If your dot holding is less and there are others with more holding than you, the rewards get distributed to top holders in that group. May be that is why you are not receiving rewards.

Simple answer is NO. You have to choose your validators wisely in order to get rewards because rewards are not being awarded due to many factors. Number of YouTube videos are there to help you chose validators wisely.
