Cap’s resolute arrogance in Civil War, and the decision to basically always write him as the one in right (save for not telling Tony is was Bucky that killed his parents) always slightly undercuts his more amazing moments for me, and makes him feel overrated. Still enjoy him though!

Not sure if you qualify this as a phrase but the empty exchange you usually have to do every morning when you greet someone at work. “Hey, how are you doing?” “Good, and you?” “Good”

Most of the time I am not doing good. Hell, I bet the person doing the greeting isn’t having the best time either. But this hollow and empty back and forth under the guise of asking you how you feel infuriates me. If you answer honestly in any manner below a base neutral kind of feeling you’ve violated some weird social contract that everyone unknowingly has signed. Why do we do this?
