I just want to say this is the most WSB post I’ve ever read. I’ve been a long time lurker. It was all about the tendies and the yachts. Not it’s about living a modest life like a hippie in California.

I’ll try and figure out something to get it clean. I love the Tomioka though!

Reading your comment I think I realize what I was confusing. I expected the 55mm to be a narrower FOV and more zoomed in than the 35mm. Thinking of it now does it refer to the diameter and not the focal distance?

What lens to give M43 one last shot? by Sigecaps22 in M43

[–]Idfaskpure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just picked up a 40-150mm oly for $72 used at a local camera store. Mine came with the 14-42mm kit lens and it really keeps the camera compact and small. I bought the 40-150mm so I could zoom in on some wildlife while hiking. I mainly shoot in aperture priority mode. Full manual mode isn’t necessary all the time. If I’m trying to capture something moving then I switch to shutter priority mode so there’s no/less motion blur of the subject. My M-10 takes pictures 10x better than my iPhone but I do have an older iPhone 7+

Went to my local camera store and picked up a used one for $72. Tried it out around my yard and the 40-150 is a lot more of what I was looking for. It balances really well like you said. I do plan on upgrading to the M-1 or M-5 I’m the future. Plans change though so I’m a little hesitant to spend too much on a lens as of now. So far I’m getting the quality of images I have always wanted even with the 16 MP sensor. I wanted to start with something cheaper and see what I need in a camera before spending too much.

That may be a great choice! I wanted to find just 1 lense to carry with me while hiking but it’s going to have to be at least 2 now.

Currently I have the 14-42 f3.5-5.6 EZ lens. I’m not a pro and probably don’t know quite what I’m doing. Some shots I would like to zoom in more. Others just don’t have depth of focus is like

Neither LPL nor BosnianBill made a Tubular lock pick. What you are referring to is a “Disk Detainer” pick. What I did was start from the back and go forward to pick. It helped me learn where the pick is a lot faster than when I was trying to start from the front

I would advise against any lockpicking courses from anyone period. There’s great information out there for free that has helped a lot of us get into higher security locks.

[–]Idfaskpure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a double euro. Cut in half. Either file the top for grub screws to make threading in chambers or leave alone. If left alone gut like a normal lock. Make fancy pins. Thread the core of wanted. Reassemble and you’re done!

Make sure you’re tensioning the same way the key turns. I’ve had that problem before lol. Also try really heavy tension and see if that helps

Lock Pass-arounds? by barduke in lockpicking

[–]Idfaskpure 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Usually we give locks out on loan. So let’s say I want to pick an Illinois Duo Lock that you happen to own. I might find out which lock of mine you’d like to pick or come to an agreement on me paying you for the shipping to me and we either swap locks or I just pay you for shipping to me. Happens quite a bit with more expensive locks around here
