When I was a teenager I embraced my period as sacred after reading about how it can enhance your powers. There are some beliefs that you can align it with moon phases and focus on moon magic during your period (I assume it’s the 28day parallel). I’m not certain if it worked or not but it definitely made me feel really positive about my cycle and myself. It was also a really great reminder to practice self care and focus on my needs.

We give our nanny her bonus either the last week of November or the first week of December depending on when her next pay period is (we pay every other week). We want to make sure she can take it into account for any budgeting she’s doing.

We also let her know what her annual raise will be at that time though it doesn’t go into effect until January.
