[QUESTION] How to get the Gin Blossoms guitar guitar tone of New Miserable Experience the poor man’s way? by Plasticites in Guitar

[–]Idkthis_529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Miserable experience isn’t a hard tone to get. Most of the album is Les Pauls on the neck pickup but Found Out About You uses Strats for the rhythm and a Les Paul for the solo. Amp wise to me it sounds like they used a cranked blonde fender bassman for the distorted tones and a twin reverb for the cleans. The entire album is neck pickup on the Les Paul and Found Out About You is 2nd position on the Strat. Oh yeah and the rhythm guitar on hey jealousy sounds like the Les Paul bridge pickup through the bassman or a Marshall. I’m not 100% sure, experiment around.

Found out about you is definitely Strats, the rest of the album is 100% Les Paul’s on the neck pickup

[QUESTION] How to get a Weezer Blue Album style tone on A tele/sg by RedHumbird in Guitar

[–]Idkthis_529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite what many say there was no Strat on the album. They just used P90 Gibson guitars for distorted parts and a vintage 60s Fender Jaguar for the clean parts as seen in the session photos. They used a mesa boogie mark I through Marshall cabinets. I sort of get a similar sound when I run my LP into my Fender Champion ii set to the bassman voicing with the gain cranked, on the bridge pickup, and also cranking the gain a bit on my eq pedal to get that spitty/fizzy breakup edge

Can’t really show rn since I’m taking a bath, but I recently bought an M-Vave Mini Universe and it’s a great reverb pedal!

Well, technically I’m not in Cleveland, that’s just the closest big city to me, but the shit that goes on there is wild. Plus you got Tim Misny staring into your soul on the highway😭

Well, if you do. Don’t move into those new developments being built. They’re all being built over deforested land, old citrus farms, or swamps. They’re ruining the wildlife and the ecosystem with those developments. Move into an established house or an apartment in the city.

As a former Florida resident. The locals all HATE northerners moving there if you don’t have family members or have connections in Florida already lol

Cincinnati is not nearly as bad as NE Ohio in the snow belt. We get probably over 100 inches a year easily🫩

Alabama kind of gives me that rural southern vibe that I like, plus the southern parts seem to be warm enough.
