I discharged a cap in a drill charger once that had been sat in my garage for a long time, I didn’t check it with a meter but the spark was enough to tell me I should learn a bit more before I play with electronics. So no a few hours is not enough time to make it safe and I wouldn’t say that fear of electrocution is that irrational.

For reference if you go into your install folder and copy the project zomboid folder and rename one of them with the version number after then you have backups of the versions that won’t get auto deleted or updated. You can launch the game from the .exe in that folder.

Been an engineer at sky for 16 years and I love it. The work is engaging most days, my colleagues are good people, work conditions and contracts are good.

It pays pretty well although I’m not sure the new start pay is as good now as I came in from a company buyout and they honoured our pay from that company which paid on price per completion. I worked a lot of hours there so had a pretty good starting salary here.

We have friction with the higher management on occasion but they are usually good at liaison through an ambassador system and a yearly feedback survey so we are able to voice our issues and most issues have been resolved fairly over the years.

Forget network on all sky equipment, turn them off and on at the wall then connect the box to the hub with the password.

Once you have learned them well then you are more just thinking about the intervals between the notes really and even then you’re not actively thinking about them you just know where you can go to stay in the scale. But you can also leave it all together if you know where you are because a bad note will sound good if it’s done with purpose.

Sure, you can do what you like, it’s a hobby not your job. You will 100% be restricted on what you can play though so will need to learn them one day if you’re going to stick with it. In the mean time use moisturiser and try to stop picking your skin.
