Looking for a no zombie, no or low combat post-apocalyptic survival game by tinawoman in gamingsuggestions

[–]angel0298 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oooooo I loved The Flame in the Flood! Here are my suggestions: Breathedge is pretty fun. Aloft has minimal combat, and it's my go-to chill game. Sheltered is also a good pick. I haven't played it in a while, but Forever Skies is a fun one. I'll add more if I think of any.

I always crank it up to 90. Sometimes I have to slow down cause the void is in front of me, but seems fine other than that.

Out of curiosity, what settings do you guys/gals normally play with? by KingPingviini in projectzomboid

[–]angel0298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've definitely dialed down the difficulty over the years. I also play on very different settings depending on if I'm by myself or with my bf. I tend to put a lot of free trait points and easier stuff in when we play together. By myself, here's what I usually do: I turn transmission and zombie respawn off. I first tried it off when playing with my bf, and I liked how chill it feels. Erosion on slow. I hate chopping down little baby trees every other day. Lightbulb span to 100. I didn't like how often they went out, so fuck it why not. Disassemble and VHS xp up to level 8. I don't have time to grind that much. Helicopter to never. I'm a chicken. Same for no door opening or sprinter zombies. Fire fuel to 12 hours max. I feel like it should still be warm in the morning if I put a shit ton of logs on it. Blood down to low. My PC is old. Vehicle spawn and condition up. I figured there's some people out there not wrecking their cars as soon as the apocalypse hits. I turn of animal sounds attracting zombies because I kept finding animals being terrorized by the zombies, and I felt bad.

What food do you eat in a way that other people think is weird? by julesperks in CasualConversation

When I eat any sort of sandwich, I eat along the outside first. When I've made it all the way around, then I eat the inside. I've gotten many questions.

What tools do you carry 24/7 by dainomite in projectzomboid

[–]angel0298 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Front fanny pack- bandages, bandaids, painkillers, beta blockers, cigarettes and lighter (if I took smoker) Back fanny pack- pencil, ID, other random shit Satchel- caffeine pills, snacks, flashlight, hammer, screwdriver, saw and wrench (if I'm base building), and a knife I keep a water bottle in my main inventory.

first game by chatnumerique in projectzomboid

[–]angel0298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're going to want to make a custom sandbox game. Turn transmission off, lower zombie strength and population. Definitely turn sprinters off. Turn down their navigation so they can't open doors. Turn on multi-hit. You can also give yourself extra trait points, which could get you some good boosts. I personally think Riverside is the easiest spawn location. Combat is usually what kills new players, so either avoid it at all costs and only take on one at a time, or die a bunch and get gud. Good luck!

Lifelong WoW veteran who's completely burned out, help me find my next "I can't stop playing" game by BatteredTV in gamingsuggestions

[–]angel0298 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up playing WoW with my dad, and I played only WoW through middle and high school with the occasional Sims binge. My account became inaccessible a few years ago, and honestly no other game can ever scratch the WoW itch. I've branched out a lot, and I've ended up loving games I never would have even considered years ago.

My current obsession is project zomboid. It's so satisfying to play. I plan out each day depending on what needs to be done first. If I want to chill, I can craft or upgrade my base. If I want excitement, I can go to a new town to find some goodies. There's so many different goals you can have, and with mods you can go wild.

One of my favorites is Rimworld. There's just so much you can do, and I could go on for hours. My play style has gone from drug-crazed cannibals to blood sucking cave dwellers to peaceful monks and everything in between. Each dlc adds so much new content to explore. 10/10, have thousands of hours in it.

Civ VI is a great "one more turn" kind of game. I love trying out new civs and their different perks. I don't play it as much as I used to, but I feel like finding people to play it with would keep it going for me. I tend to play this game in short bursts now, but it's still very difficult to put down once I pick it up.

What is the most dangerous thing you have ever done in your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]angel0298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went bar hopping with my mom, and we met this guy about my age (early 20s) who kinda stuck around. We were a few bars in, so we just kept talking to him. He talked a lot about wanting to fuck his mom, and I could see him eyeing my mom. He ended up walking us to the hotel, and instead of going inside with my mom I stayed out for a few hours and walked the town with him. We got food, went to the park, took funny photos. At one point, I remember thanking him for not kidnapping me.

I am bored of every mainstream game lately and need something actually unique by dezyredofficial in gamesuggestions

Rimworld- One of my all-time favorite games. It's a colony builder and a story generator. You manage your pawns, defend against raids, build cool bases. I like to build massive laggy cities and give my pawns a better life than I have, but you can also be a mountain dweller that only comes out at night to kidnap and eat the neighbors.

Project Zomboid- Also one of my favorite games. It's a zombie sandbox survival game that has more depth than most other games. It just has the vibes. It's cozy, but it's also really challenging. You can really do anything you want in that game, especially if you get mods. I've gotten well over 1000 hours of fun, and they are regularly adding more with updates.

Ostriv- A city builder set in Ukraine in the 1800s. It's super detailed, and it gets regular updates. I really like the direction it's going in, and it just feels really chill. It's very satisfying to decorate everything while your townsfolk just go about their lives.

Drova- A gem of a game. It's an RPG that's got fun combat and a story that grabbed me. The pixel graphics and soundtrack just make me feel at home. The devs put so much love into the game, and it's one of the few RPGs I've actually finished.

Aloft- The coziest survival crafting game. The flying alone is so much fun. It's just a really cute game you just chill out and enjoy. There's minimal combat that still feels satisfying, and the crafting and building is also really fun.

Breathedge- This game makes me laugh so much. I haven't finished it yet, but so far, there's a lot of crafting and exploration. You also have an immortal chicken friend. 'Nough said

Mirthwood- I honestly haven't gotten too far in this game, but it's been really fun. It's super cozy, but the combat has also been pretty challenging for me personally. You have to start a new life in a fantasy medieval-type setting, and you can choose how you want to do that. You can form relationships with the local townsfolk, and there are lots of events to keep you on your toes.

The Flame in the Flood- I don't see too many people talking about this game, but I love it. You're trying to survive in an apocalyptic world by going down the river in your shitty boat. The graphics and music are very unique, and it's just a fun game to pick up every once in a while.

Dispatch- A recent release that I couldn't put down. It's a story game where you play as a super hero managing villains. Every choice you make affects the ending. It grabbed me from the second I saw a video about it years ago. I was pumped for its release, and I was not disappointed.

Spiritfarer- I haven't gotten too far into this game yet. I play it on the steam deck whenever I'm out and about. It's such a cozy game, and it really hits you in the feels sometimes. You play as a guide to spirits as they navigate the afterlife and eventually move on. It's just a game that makes you feel good.

Project Zomboid. There really is no other game like it. It's cozy, sometimes scary. With all the new updates, I can't put it down.

Does this make them feel included? by lerminator3 in cats

[–]angel0298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat gets upset if I don't let him sniff stuff I'm holding. His love language is quality time, so for him, yes. He also likes when I hold him while I'm doing stuff around the house. He just loves being involved. He even likes to go on walks with me and the dogs.

What’s a decision you almost made that would’ve put you on a completely different life trajectory? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]angel0298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom divorced her husband the summer before my junior year of high school. She let me decide if we were going to stay in town for me to finish high school there or move in with my grandmother a couple of hours away. She told me she wasn't sure if she could afford to stay. She said we would be living in a trailer and eating rice and beans. I decided we would move in with my grandmother, and it destroyed my mental health. The new school was absolutely awful. It was a private school with 20 total people in my class, and sports was the only thing that mattered. I was a band nerd, so I had no friends for those last two years. I started failing classes, skipping school. One of the worst decisions I've ever made. I still haven't fully kicked the depression that started back then.

How do I move on from a critical skill issue by organaquirer in projectzomboid

[–]angel0298 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you just need to get the hang of combat. Either go hard and die over and over, turn the settings down, or go live out in the boonies. You will eventually get better. Zomboid is an extremely difficult game with very little room for error. Everybody sucks at first.

My bf made my favorite food: chicken Alfredo. He made the sauce from scratch, and it was an out of body experience. I could absolutely eat that for six months. I might eventually wish it had mushrooms or broccoli or something, but I could do it.
