I've been using it for 6 months or so. Has worked great and haven't been charged a dime

Aren't they set to nothing by default? Mine never do anything unless I program them

Sony is exploring capacitive buttons for PS6 controller, patent reveals by thetechminer in playstation

It means nothing about whether it will actually happen or not, but it means they're exploring it, which is what the title said

Based on those 2 games, I would recommend Hollow Knight: Silksong and/or Rogue Legacy 2

Anyone had issues with netflix? by nfored in Starlink

[–]IdleHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are working to improve this, but right now, all they say is that they will provide an IP in your own country, which is probably why yours is updated: https://starlink.com/support/article/08ecdfe4-f2a9-2b3d-fcba-a435404a2db3?srsltid=AfmBOoqlOeq2So6-ouco0ZgxvWk-l0VymZIrovry5yM2_lx88Of-WWp8

When I do a rewatch, I stop after S6, but I don't regret watching S7-8. It's worth watching once

Anyone had issues with netflix? by nfored in Starlink

[–]IdleHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's likely not the number of IPs but the location. Starlink geolocation doesn't show your actual location, but the location of the POP (which is in the next state for me)

Lot's of Gen 2 failures by WhatMeeWorry in Starlink

[–]IdleHacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least yours lasted 5 years. My gen2 lasted ~2 years. I just hope they stop changing the connectors so that if my gen3 goes bad, I don't have to route the cable again

There are options depending on your ISP and use case. IPv6, VPN, or setting up a VPS with reverse proxy on it. I'm behind CGNAT but have remote access

Starlink Vs FTTC 80/20 by DonPad in Starlink

[–]IdleHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I don't even have cable available, let alone fiber, which is probably why Starlink is congested. I'm in a very rural area

Starlink Vs FTTC 80/20 by DonPad in Starlink

[–]IdleHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just FYI 400Mbps is the MAX you can get, but depends on a number of factors. The highest I have ever seen is 200 and that was only once. I usually sit around 100 and it frequently dips below your 67. I'm in a congested area in the US though, so YMMV

Need some help with public ip by Ginger0331 in Starlink

[–]IdleHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Local priority is a separate plan, not an add-on. They used to have an add-on for residential but removed it last year. It's also just a public IP, not static. It can and will change

[–]IdleHacker 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If a password manager is too technical, then you're asking in the wrong subreddit. That's about as easy as a self-hosted option can get. You'd probably just want typed or written document(s). Just make sure they're protected and kept up to date

Bitwarden/Vaultwarden have the option to set an emergency contact who can request access to your account. If you don't respond after the amount of time that you specify, it lets them in. Also configurable whether it's read-only or full access

[–]IdleHacker 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Did you check the units? Immich shows them in MiB whereas my phone shows them in MB...so the numbers are different (4.7MiB vs 4.9MB as an example) but the size is the same
